Looking for opinions....
Took a job with a TC agree on payment, then the BO calls an hour before appt. cancels Docs will most likely be re-drawn. Question is, what would be a fair charge for cancellation of appt? Or should I charge at all but just add another print fee? TIA

Hi Sherrie
My hairdresser does the same thing. I had worked very hard with the BO to schedule a time. I know I know, that's part of the job. Sometimes, as we all know we don't usually have 24 hr notice of the appt., but..... if it's less than two hours before the appt. I feel that I should charge something. Just the stress of waiting for docs, other appts. travel time, traffic yada, yada, yada. Then, the LO calls wanting to know how it went w/bo. Hadn't heard yet what had happened, he's freaking out, I'm with diff. BO's and I'm trying to be polite w/ LO, but I'm busy! I'll call ya back. LO calls again asking for his bo's number Argggghhh. Yikes!! But it does look like it will reschedule. Then you have the TO that you want to work with again, so I guess I'll just additional print fee. Thanks for the reply and tolerating my vent. I am taking today OFF.

Cancellations are a fact of life.
No, nobody like 'em. Yes, we deserve compensation for last-minute cancellations. Will we get it?r No. Is it fair?r No.
I insisted on getting paid for a cancellation that happened when I was literally 10 minutes from the borrower's home. I got a trip fee, but that signing service has not called me again. When I try to log into their Site my uername and password don't work. Bottom line?r I should have said "OK. Please put me first in line for the next one in my area." and eaten the time and travel cost.
