Re: Anybody else receive this? Yes, what about it?
Yes, and I tried to do their search for a notary and it always brought up a contact page. If people have to put in their info (email, phone #, ect) to find a notary, I would think they would look elsewhere because of fear of getting unsolicited emails or phone calls or unwanted advertising. The site seemed a little confusing to me. I also couldnt find enough information about who they are.

Re: Anybody else receive this? Yes, what about it?
I went ahead and signed up. The price is right (free) and I always like the opportunity to put my photo on any website listing so potential clients can see what I look like (confirming I don't have any metal in my face or tats up my neck).

Free is good.
I too signed up for free. I'll do just about any and all free marketing that I can. It doesn't cost anything but a little bit of time, but the rewards just may be very beneficial. One just never knows what's around the next bend until you get there.

I feel the same, Paul.... but....
when I went to list, it was asking me for $35. Did you get that as well or did you just stop at that point?

Re: I feel the same, Paul.... but.... Not me ....
Never asked me for money. Where in the registration process did you run into that?

Re: I feel the same, Paul.... but.... Not me ....
I clicked on the link in the e-mail I received that stated register for free.... I put in all my information and then clicked on submit.... it was at that time that I got a screen that wanted me to put in my credit card information. It seems that someone else got the same (read thread further down). Of course, I stopped at that point.

Re: Deleted it.
I signed up with them for free as well. They seem to have virtually no listings for notaries in any of the zip codes that I entered. They must be a new startup and the free listings are a way to establish a base. We all have to start somewhere.

Mung???
NR has asked us not to advertise their competitors, right? If I am wrong, I will gladly start doing some serious selling here of my stuff.
Mung, you posted one of their direct competitors. Gave links, etc. What are you thinking, buddy?

You're right Brenda! I put myself in the corner
for that one. It didn't hit me until after I hit the "Post" button what I had done. I was just hoping nobody would notice it (yeah right!). Thanks for the gentle tug to get back on the right track. Have a good one.
