That's fine that you don't want to sign up - but a big "NO NO"? Give me a break. We are just trying to help everyone network (since we are all in the same field).

A one time fee due to the maintenance and time put into updating the site.

No Kristy, you weren't just trying to help. You were advertising a business.

You tell me not to sign up and I never will. Done.

Now, why don't you stop acting like you think the notaries here are too stupid to realize what you are doing.

Re: In six months will you start - That's a business.

What business are we advertising?? Were you told to come and purchase a product? What about when title companies post messages asking for notaries to come and sign up with them?? Isn't that advertising thier business then? Again - the only reason that there will eventually be a fee is due to the time and maintenance of the site and even then - a notary is not required to purchase anything or pay anything.

The Signing Agents that I know like to network together. You just want something to complain about! I am a Signing Agent as well and I sign up for any free advertisement that I can get. Everyone should just remember not to let you know of any networking ideas.

Re: Nationwide Notary Directory/ Cyndi -

Hopefully this time people who like NR will not run to get their free listing. Lord have mercy...how can we expect the ones up the food chain to have a little bit of loyalty when we are willing to be taken in by that little misnomer named "free." Nothing is free.

NotaryRotary has been great for me, and I certainly will be taking a second look at the other sites I originally signed up with, and you're right, nothing is free. She sure has a big tude. The obvious success of this site is getting peoples attention and probably wanting to get a piece of the pie. Hope she likes lemon.

Re: Nationwide Notary Directory/ Cyndi - Bren

I just want to be clear that I do not mean people should not advertise where they get calls from. I just mean if a person uses this forum to start their own database enterprise, I feel it is wrong and it really bugs me when they continue to say they were not doing anything like that as if we are so stupid we do not see the purpose behind it.

We have seen it here before. The database thing is a very good business IF you run it right and you put years into it like Harry has. If I am not mistaken, they put quite an investment into this business to start it up.

This calls for a musical. We will reenact the entire history of NotaryRotary.com .

Brenda, my free listings have expired...

All those FREE listing started costing money for MAINTENANCE and UPDATING after 6 months. But hey, all they wanted was a one time annual fee. I only have 2 free listing left, but for those free listing, I put their links on the home page of all 3 of my websites.

Lawrence, Oh my gosh. I must be psychic. I did not even look at the database!

However, I don't care who puts their name in there now...to heck with the notary gig...I see a Psychic Hotline in my future.

OH MY GOSH, did you all get that? I just did it again!

Hey, when you're hot, you're hot!

Aren't you going to charge for it in six months? Or were you going to stop having it in six months...you advertise six months free. Has to be one or the other.

Our BS detectors are going off in unison.

This just cracks me up-*****the only reason that there will eventually be a fee is due to the time and maintenance of the site and even then - a notary is not required to purchase anything or pay anything.*****

A one time fee IS paying something. Does Kristy truelly believe her own bs? In fact her eyes must be brown by now.

I love NotRot. In fact there's a little feature called "Find a Notary" which just so happens to be a database of notaries. It takes someone who either has a huge pair or is a complete idiot to come here and blatanly stick her nose up to the rules that say not to ADVERTISE a direct competetor.

Re: Nationwide Notary Directory

I have known Kristy for over a year. I love Kristy she is a dear friend and doesn't need you to sign-up. If you don't like to network then don't. I am always asked if I know anyone for other counites or in another state. She has worked very hard on her website and is proud of doing it. I am so sorry for all of you, that you must put down people for having a good heart and wanting to network together. No wander all you waste you time on the board and have nothing better to do then b**** about someone or something.

It was my idea to post on the message board to anyone that would like to NETWORK. She is not a Signing Service or in business to sell anything. I have no problem offering a donation for updating her website. You are all on a different website and pay much more to get listed.

I don't post much on here, but use to enjoy visiting and learning. I know that I will get riped apart or deleted today and if that is the case then so be it. SHE IS NOT SELL ANYTHING, SHE IS A VERY NICE PERSON, AND DID NOT DESIRE THE TREATMENT THAT WAS GIVEN.

Nice or Not She Broke The Advertising Rules

You can stick up for her all that you want. It wasn't just the members that didn't appreciate her disregard for the rules. Even the moderators of this site did not appreciate it which is evidenced by the post deletion. If anything you should give yourself a smack on the forehead for suggesting she post the message. One last thing, she refused to believe that she in the wrong when it was brought to her attention. So I would say she deserved what she got.

Re: Nationwide Notary Directory

You are all the most insane people that I have ever came across on a message board. You obviously don't have anything better to do. I guess that's why I was out doing closings this evening, while you were still sitting at your computers freaking out over an opportunity to get your name out there.

I didn't realize that all of you were shareholders in NotaryRotary's stock. I was just trying to help out fellow Signing Agents and not trying to impose on NotaryRotary. This is a great site, except for the idiots that are on the message boards of course.

By the way, the other message boards (with normal people posting) loved the idea and many of them signed up. Have fun sitting at your desks moaning and groaning about EVERYTHING. Maybe eventually you will get some work. LIGHTEN UP!

Umm, which boards would that be exactly? You've had exactly ONE reply on GMN. I think your nose is growing Pinocchio. By the way, it's 10:30 and I'm just walking in from my last signing, so I guess that means I do have better things to do. And I still think you're wrong for posting your free, er, not free, wait sort of free, donations required, just cause your nice garbage. Is it really that hard to understand that you don't post something that competes with the people that created this wonderful site for you? And then instead of just accepting that it was a mistake, you both get snippy and throw little tantrums? Yeah, nice marketing strategy.
