NREIS & VITAL SIGNING BOYCOTT!!!!!!!!

Have to share! Decided to take a NREIS to see what the big "deal" is about lowering fees. (It only takes an average 90 days to actually get paid after sending 4 invoices). Well, took 1 (none since Nov 05) just to see the HUD. $450 this Title company gets for a signing. WOW! Without us, where would ALL these companies be? Are we going to cut each others throats by lowering our standards to $30 - $50 ? Come on everyone... lets form a TEAM OF PROFESSIONAL, HIGH PAID NOTARY PUBLICS DOING WHAT THEY CAN'T DO! Close a LOAN! Love you all! Vital is no better. $45 for a closing and they send the docs. At an average of 17 notarizations for Ameriquest, give us a break!

Fast fingers. Sorry 'bout that. Sounds like a plan. But, gee, somebody has to pay for the golf course---shame they think it should be US. Turn 'em down!

Vital Signings stopped calling me after I replied to their email stating their lowered fees. I stated what my fees were and now no more calls. Oh well!

Fortunately, it's a free country, but

There are NSA's out there taking their low-ball fees. We will have to wait until they realize they can't make it with those fees, and then fees will return to normal. Until then, as independent contractors, we each have to decide what fees we will accept. I only boycott companies who ask me to perform illegally, or companies who have payment problems.
I would gladly accept signings from NREIS (previous payment problems for me with VS) if they will meet my minimum fee. So far, they have not.

I agree with Misty. Don't get your back up about their lowball fees. Move on as they eventually will. The market dictated to them their niche. Things have a way of changing. Be alert, be flexible and don't burn bridges. Isn't capitalism wonderful.

Agreed

Many who have never been in business for themselves approach every negotiation as a employee instead of a business owner. This is not personal, just business. I cringe when I see calls for boycotts, unions, ect. I will not accept fees lower than my minimum, but anybody who has a assignment and is not a deadbeat, can hire me at anytime and I will gladly complete their assignment, and take their money:-) I am a hired gun and proud of it.....
