Notary Log for Loan Doc
I signed a loan doc with 1st and 2nd mortgage for a borrower at a title company. I used to sign loan doc at the borrower's house and log every doc that needs my notarization in my log book and had the borrower sign and fingerprint the row for a deed. After signing, the escrow officer said that I only needed to log it once for the whole package of loan doc. Is that true in California?

Thanks for the response. I only have the borrower thumb print the deed but sign every other rows in my log book. Do I just complete one row in my log book and indicate it's a loan doc?

Please refer to your handbook on line items for CA. Also, you are a notary first and signing agent second. Please also refer to the section in the handbook about what line items need to be fingerprinted. This is very specific for a CA notary.

Buy the journal available on this site, read the thread beginning with #112026, refer to the journal section of the California handbook.
