OT Help with flat panel monitor purchase
I'm looking to purchase a flat panel monitor for my 'puter at home and have found they aren't cheap. At this point, it's better to just buy a new computer...they throw the flat panel in. The best I've found is $300 and I just can't believe they cost that much.
Anybody have any suggestions? TIA.

ok, my computer is under warranty, I'll call HP and tell....
them that I spilled coffee all over it. They will simply send me a new one. I will then forward it to you in an undisclosed Notary like package.
-- Just kidding, as you can tell I'm very bored.
I have an HP 'f1523 h' flat panel monitor. It's really nice. Before I purchased this I had no desk space whatsoever! Now I could layout on my desk if I wanted to LOL ..... If you have the extra cash... go for it!
I also love the fact that my monitor comes with speakers built into it. My other monitors never had this feature.

If you are looking for one asap, Best Buy has a few models around $200-$250. 15-17" flat screen monitor.
I wanna say I saw some for around $150 somewhere, but for the life of me I can't remember. Tiger Direct maybe? but those may have been refurbished, which I always buy when I can, and have never had an issue with anything.

A friend of mine bought the 149 dollar one from tigerdirect.com and it appears to be a nice one (19 inch)
I have purchased a lot of equipment from them over the years and have been happy with the results.
