Ok Everybody Start Bashing !!

I am new to Notary Rotary and to the signing agency business. I have done less than 50 signing but have been taught by on of the best in the industry (in my opinion of course) All my signings have been successful in every aspect, Explanation of doc's, Getting all signatures in the right places, all date correct and in place and I was made to study by my mentor for a full year before taking a single signing. (an agreement we had when I first got interested in the industry. She explained documents to me very carefully and thoroughly. She made me read several books on signings, she took me on three closings with her (with prior approval from lenders and tc's) and we roll played the last month of my training. She also Went with me on my first signing which was a breeze considering the long drawn out training. Point is I feel I know as much as the next person on this site. I have finally come to this site to see if there is more for me to learn. I will in advance thank all of you for the one thing that you have taught me and that is which companies to avoid. Lucky for me though is I am now signed up with over 200 companies and not one is on the no no list. But as I add more to my list I know which to avoid.

Here is where you can start bashing Smile

Message # 110338, Lulu asked a simple question "Would it be a good idea to create a newbie section?
There were a couple of nice comments and then how ridiculous this thought is. I see she was only trying to alleviate the more refined SA's of a lot of grief from the oh so repeated questions.

I almost hesitate in defending Pamela in her question post # 110373 "WHY CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?" n/m
At first again a few polite replies then an attack. The reason in my hesitation is her continued attack in retaliation and getting out of line. All of you are correct and I stand behind you in the fact that we are all competitors and have no reason in helping the next, other than "We Just Do" A doctor may train an intern but a doctor will not train another doctor to run his own clinic.

When I first got on here I made a couple of replies to some general conversation but really had no questions to ask. As I started seeing some of the replies I now stop and think God am I ever lucky I had no questions. I think that maybe newbies should (before signing up) be made to agree to the rules & guidelines of this forum. Then and only then will the same old questions slow down. (Notice I did not say stop).

I guess I did learn one other thing, how to be arrogant, conceited and cruel. Not that I wanted to learn any of that but hey new things every day. The way I see it with all your frustrations with newbies, same old questions should just not be answered or even read (by the way Calinotary your question on post # 110461 WAS truly priceless) But hey errors can be made by the best of us as we now all can see. but nobody dared jumping you on that one hmmmm wonder why (Guess search button must have been dysfunctional)

And last but of course far from least I would like to point out post # 110338 Re: Lulu: An Excellent idea! But, have you considered...

Charles CA calls this a community with a pecking order.

Charles well I ask you where does the pecking order start and who would I talk to or rather who should I ask how I can contact this head pecker.

Hey all I know I am going to get trashed on this one so lets have it. I will be out for most of Monday the 4th but I can already imagine I will have plenty to read when I get back.

Have a great day cause I know I will.

PS. If I do not reply to all the comments made tomorrow I will do my best to at least get to most of them Smile Bye for now

Don't let the bad apples get to you. Like most every other Internet message board, this place seems to have its share of people who need to attack everything by everyone. My advice to you would be to communicate only with those who try to support and help each other, and ignore the rest.

Very well said..there's no pecking order here....

We each have the same status whether anonymous, premier or basic member. The "status" only exist within the minds and ego's of those you mentioned. Most of us simply ignore them because they offer nothing of value. It is an interesting observation in human behavior tho...especially when they start out by attacking someone else and then farther down in the thread...they start attacking each other. Kind of reminds me of animals in the wild who eat thier young. I like your humor...it's very refreshingSmile

Hey Drakester, here is my concern about a newbie forum...who will be the person(s) willing to answer those questions? Where the money come from to support it? My bet is those with the most knowledge, the ones that may "trash" you? I doubt it. Instead of a section, consider putting a list together of FAQ's. However, the most practical thing is to use the orange SEARCH button. You will find an abundance of FAQ's that have been asked and answered.

As for the response to CalNotary, I knew that people were asking about CMD as recently as Saturday (Leon started a thread regarding it. I was merely pointing out to CalNotary to use search, especially since he asked the question just 2 mos ago, where it was answered. Is stating a fact "bashing"? Between the thread on April 1 and his previous post, I suppose I thought he could get current information without wasting a thread.

By the way, I still consider myself a newbie but none of those who have taught you "how to be arrogant, conceited and cruel" have never done so to me. Reason? Before I post, I do my research and at least try to resolve the issue on my own. When I do solicit their help, I give them the information I gathered and they are more than willing to tell me where in the process I was incorrect. As I said recently, you get from the venture what you put in.

I guess sometimes the truth hurts.
Best of luck to you Drakester.

Re: Well said Kyle. Research is important.

Doing a search on a particular subject speaks volumes. It seems that the only ones doing the complaining are those that don't bother to do their homework. What kind of work ethic does it show if you'll always expect someone to hand you everything? is my question to all of those that just expect it to come easy and nice.

Drake, I'm only commenting on your first paragraph. You say that you had a mentor. I think it would be of great benefit to all the newbies for you to post how you found your mentor. How far away your mentor was from you. What financial agreement there was for the training. And what extra thank you's you gave to your mentor. The problem is newbies that seem to think they can learn the whole business for free. A post on the cost including time and money may just be a good dose of reality to the "answer my questions now damnit" responses that so often occur.

Nice drama post, but

Not really necessary considering the garbage over the weekend. I mean, you started out nice, that's a terrific way to start - a mentor and all.

But then why throw down the gauntlet right away by an attack on Charles? So what if he described a pecking order, whether it exists or not. He's offered a lot to this forum and you haven't.

Also, I wouldn't call you a newbie with a year of research and studying under your belt, including a mentor. So, as someone who's NOT new, better start contributing something here or you'll be as guilty as the rest of the blood sucking leeches.

You're just looking for an argument, IMO with a post like this. Hang in there, I'm sure you'll get it.

Consider yourself bashed.

>>>>>>>>Point is I feel I know as much as the next person on this site. <<<<<<<<<<<<<

I could not get past this line when I was reading your post. I will admit that I did not read the rest of the post after this line as it tells me all I need to know. In fact, when you work in human resourses for a company and are interviewing people, a statement such as this is one of what is called the "10 big deal breakers." Experience is the greatest teacher. A person can have all the degrees, training, reference books and mentoring in the world, but without the experience of actually doing the job for years and years no, you don't know as much as a person who has years of experience. Unfortunately, you probably won't know that until you are near the end of your life and look back.

Without Charles and his input I would have made a serious

mistake the other day. Far as I'm concerned he told it exactly like it is, truth sometimes hurts. He's the last person that deserves pot shots.

Sorry, Drakester I'm not going to "Bash" you. But I will tell you that I have never seen CharlesCA ever post anything so nasty as you have on this board. Charles is very experienced and has helped a lot of us on this board. He doesn't deserve your attack.

We get so much here from Charles' knowledge. He's a wealth of information. I appreciate his posts. What I don't appreciate is your attacking him.
