PAW, comments please, Printing
One of my regular TC/SS called and they indicated that I "needed" to go out and correct a problem. My antennai immediatey went up and I asked what problem that might be. It seems that I printed out several docs, ONE of which wouldn't record because the font was too small. OK, I understand that some locales may have an arbitrary standard of size of font, and I realize that the SS/TC may not control that, but my question is: Is there a way to control the size of the font printed on documents that are sent to me as pdf files. I indicated that I would go back the 25, one way, miles to resign what was needed, and my contact said they would reinburse me for a trip fee. (Meaning:They can't pin the error on me.) I WILL have a talk with that SS/TC on Monday as regarding what I will do for them as long as they do something for me, such as not try to lowball me after giving them a 'reasonable' signing fee. As the resident guru on printing on this board, what say you?

I'm not PAW, but I've been printing with computers since the days when the paper had tractor holes in the sides. If the document is formatted to go on a regular size page (letter or legal as the case may be) and the font is too small, there was nothing you could do and you had no clue there was a problem. On the other hand, if the page was to big to fit, you would have a better shot at detecting the problem and alerting the SS or TC if you had Adobe Reader set to not scale pages.
In the case of Adobe 7.0, when you bring up the print menu, about half way down the left hand side, there is box for "Page Handling". To make problems more obvious, make sure the Page Scaling box is set to None.

Thanks Gerry. That reduced the margin slightly. I was pretty sure I couldn't control the font size. I'm gonna have to have a talk with the TC.
