Payment issues!
Is anyone else out there having problems with Sign On The X (SOX)? They simply do not want to pay. They owe me over $500 from Jan., Feb. and March. What can I do about this, any suggestions?

It's strange that you haven't been reading posts here all of January, February or March, or you would know the answer to your question. Not being mean, I just find it incredulous that you would post this.

I haven't been on this board before. I was just wondering if this was a problem for others. No need make other people they can't ask questions. If we do not look after each others back the signing companies sure will not. Thanks for being sooooo nice!

I keep telling people that as long as there are new and
inexperienced people and no control on access to the business of notary signing agent someone will feed the sharks with their blood and sweat. Obviously that has happened again. Wow 10 times in one month and I am sure that SOX is laughing allthe way to the bank while looking for more mullet. I'm not picking on you its just that these bottom feeders prey on the new and unsuspecting and as long as groups like the NNA keep churning out new and ususpeting the companies like SOX will continue on!

To all newbies;
Do yourself a favor and keep this message board on your computer screen or in a minimized window so you can refer to it when you get a call. Use the search function and read all about it. It will save you lots of time and money.

Well sit back and keep the name calling you obviously have nothing to offer. I am surprise you are able to get work. Idiot! Why even reply to my question since I am such a idiot. Apparently you can't read, I said haven't been on the site before not only that I was frustrated and just wondered how big the problem was. I am sure even you being of great intellect, understands what frustration is!!!

Did you see the BIG YELLOW LIGHTBULB...
above the box you typed your question in?
I'll copy and paste it here: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Important Notice If you are going to ask a question, please consider consulting the Search feature before doing so. Many questions have been asked and answered repeatedly on this forum by expert notaries: Should I buy a laser printer? • What are e-docs? • What is a signing agent? • How much should I charge? • How do I get started? Answers to questions like these are just a few clicks away! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now obviously, I'm not the one who can't read.
Oh, I'm sorry the bright purple flashing lights with the yellow neon bubble floating around the search button isn't working. Sometimes it blinks "search" "search" "search" and if your sound is up, you can hear it beep over and over...the beeps get faster the closer your pointer gets to the actual search button, kind of like a metal detector. Some have even stated that, at times, the search button may trail your mouse pointer...unfortunately, for now, you'll just have to click on that little orange button at the top of the page.

The Monitor Washing Force is preparing to move out.
I have alerted the Texas Rangers, plus the media including Roy D. Mercer, those two guys on the radio out in California, and Former Houston Radio Hosts Moby, Stevens and Pruitt. Oh yes, I contacted Larry, Darryl and Darryl. Larry said as long as there is one or two dead possums along the way they'll go to VA for free. Several members of the cast of the old TV show HEE HAW are donating their time as well.
If this doesn't do it, the Justice League can be ready as soon as SarahBeth is unpacked at her new place.

You've admitted that this is your first time on the board, and in the space of a single thread you've managed to call people idiots and told us to "shut the fuk up", and you're STILL expecting "someone with real help" to respond to you?
I think it's obvious who the idiot is. Here's some real help, kiss the payment for those 10 signings goodbye. Looks like it couldn't have happened to a more deserving person. I'm kinda hoping you needed it for rent money and will have to start searching for cans to recycle to avoid eviction.

Re: Anon...as for acting like an adult
You're posting anonymously to gripe because you took 10 jobs from the number ONE non-paying SS in the country and they aren't paying you. It does make you look pretty dumb. Even my business partner, who NEVER reads message boards, knows who SOX is and that they are baddddddddddd news.
Becca, who needs no defending, simply pointed out the obvious to you. You have the resources to avoid non-paying companies by using the search feature on this and at least 3 other well-known message boards, yet you chose to ignore the experiences of those who have been in this business longer. You're not going to get much sympathy for that.

Re: Anon...as for acting like an adult
My understanding is that this is your first time on this board. Yes for future reference when a company calls that you don't know jump on the search and check them out. Additionally, when having trouble with payment do the same to see what might have worked for others. In previous posts I saw something about SOX that said they had fired all their a/p people or something and they were turning over a new leaf. Now one can choose to give them a second chance or not. Yes one might be a glutton for punishment. I have a couple of outstanding invoices with them. I recently sent off a nasty little bundle by fax to (I believe her name is Brandi in a/p). It has a collection letter that tells if I don't get payment I will be contacting the Attorney Generals office and the BBB in their area. I also said I was cc'ing the president Deb Vladic or something like that and they had one week to make payment. I have received no response or payment. My next step is to write these off to experience to not be Mr. Nice Guy and giving someone a second chance (write them off in my a/r) but then I will be following through with my threat of the attorney general and bbb. If that doesn't work, I have two options. Maybe the more seasoned SA's here can lend some advice. It seems I read somewhere that if they don't pay the SA, the SA can contact the lender for payment and they are obligated to pay the bill even if they already paid it to the SS or you can turn it over to a collection agency. (With no intention of ever seeing a dime of it but it will show SOX that you mean business and won't let them get off easy). This will show up on their credit if it goes to collections. Just depends on how much work you want to put into it or just chalk it up to experience and get on with things. None of this message is to be construed as legal advice or advice of any kind. It is simply my thought process in the dilemma of what I am contemplating as a fate for SOX in their non-payment of my bill. Additional food for thought, I wonder if this payable would constitute the legal right to put a mechanics lien on the property? Not that one would but boy that threat might really move mountains if it's legally possible.

LMAO, not here. I was just extrapolating on anon's nasty comment to Becca_FL that Becca wasn't acting like an adult.
Seems to me that it would be good business to 1. check out a new company if possible and 2. don't take 10 orders from a company over the course of three months if you're not getting paid for the earlier ones you took.

Oh good - thanks!
I have to act like an adult when I driive, when I deal with people I don't care for, when I play the mother role, when I go to the store, when I pay my bills, do my taxes, and when I am working. Right now, I do NOT want to be adult.

Hey Anon, the people who responded to you are very knowledge about their respective state's laws and are well respected here. My suggestion to you is do some due dilligence (sp?). Before posting, use the orange SEARCH button and do some research. You will usually find the answer to your questions there. Second, please indicate which state you are from so people from your area can help you (since each state's law is different). Third, show some respect. If you want to survive here, you better be able to take some constructive criticism. You should be the one shutting the $@%# up.
