Secure Signings in MD
I saw several negative posts on this notary board about how they don't pay but I just want to make sure because there are many with similar names. Please let me know. TIA

NO, they don't pay for no signs. I have done a few assignments for them in the past and then a couple of months ago received edocs and drove over an hour and called the borrower when I was almost there to say I was arriving a little late due to traffic (the one time I found traffic in Maine) and she said she had called her LO 4 hours earlier and advised him that her husband couldn't get off work and they were postponing the closing. Secure Signings said "No, we don't pay you if the borrower doesn't sign" and hung up the phone. I sent an email to the Title Co and received a check a week later for $50. Better that then nothing. However, I can't say all Title Co's are that understandable.

I'd like to know if anyone has any information on Secure Signings, Inc in MD. They called me to do a closing on Monday and I have read some negative comments about this company regarding payments to notaries. I've just been through this with Sign on the X and don't want to get involved with another signing agency that I have to keep calling before I get paid. I've been a signing agent for less and a year and I really feel that some of these signing agencies are targeting new signing agents thinking we don't know an better.
