Service Link
Got a call from them for a refi for Countrywide. I have them my fee, and they said they weren't authorized to go above $90, and would call me back. Called about 32 hours later and asked if I could still do the signing. I said I could, at the fee I gave. She said fine and started to hang up. I asker her to wait a minute, and said that I do up to 4 faxbacks free, and that any more would cost more. She hemmed and hawed, and said she couldn't agree to that. I said that she would have to, or I couldn't do the assignment. She said no, and hung up, without my having time to mention that I do split packages for $25 extra. "Lost another loan to cheapo's!"

I just did a SL/Countrywide last week with 15 fax backs and split pkg for $100. I told them (after the fact) that I charge $25 extra for split pkg. They said they don't pay extra for splitting pkgs. I told them to take me off their Countrywide list. I don't understand why SL requires split pkgs for Countrywide. I do many other Countrywide signings for other TC and direct for Countrywide and don't have to split the pkgs. Countrywide is my best client but I won't do them through Service Link anymore.

Why did it use my real name instead of MB_AZ n/m

I've been very lucky with ServiceLink lately. They've actually been meeting my fees in this area. A couple weeks ago they called me to do a closing that was 120 miles round trip, I quoted them my fee, they said no. They called back 4 hours later and said they'd meet my fee. They've called back several times since then, and have agreed to meet my fee of between $100 & $150.00 for overnight docs, add $25 if they are faxed or emailed. I've never had to split a package for them, and I only fax back about 5 pages. I've been surprised that they are calling me so much, but I do think they've had some serious issues with less experienced notaries in this area.

We just did our first Service Link yesterday. I noticed the fax back sheet after the fact. I called and said that we charge for fax backs and she requested that I just fax the DOT, HUD, & RTC. Sent off my invoice & UPS separately....DONE! Met our fee no split package....like I said, this was a FIRST for us.

I do searches and recordings for them but not closings. They don't seem to mind paying for abstractor work, but won't meet my fee for notary work.
