Side loans...have u done this one?

Hi Everyone...sorry I have not posted for awhile...been catching up on some CNSA work, billing, and getting ready (finally) to work on taxes. Plus, as you may know, Tim has been sick with pneumonia, and now we are finding out he has gallbladder stones and is seeing a surgeon this week in regards to that. (sigh) It didn't help that my only transportation took the wind out of us by "dying" on us and took a big chunk out of our bank account.

I've been also busy gardening. I have found it to be quite theraputic and I keep getting all these brain storms.

I had to do a closing recently that involve with life & credit insurance. I thought that it was quite strange that I had to act also as an "insurance agent" by asking certain questions, and making them sign the paper work for this. It was considered or part of the side loan. Has anyone else done this?

The other project is that we are now preparing for the 2007 Disney "Run for our Son's" PPMD Marathon by starting on different fundraising projects. The one project we chose to do is RECYCLING old printer cartridges and cell phones. We hope that as much as you all use, that instead of throwing them away or returning them to the mancturfacturer (and getting nothing back for them) that you will be willing to donate them to us to raise money for the Marathon.

We can use all the cartridges and old cell phones as much as possible to raise funds to reach our goal of $2500 (Tim and me) but our TEAM TIM is trying to raise $50,000. We are also trying to put a team together...marathon runners of up to 5-10 persons. If you are also interested in this, please contact myself ASAP.

Anyhow...hope all is doing well and keeping busy with all new "toys" they've added or want to add or just keep changing. (wink)

I received your email...thank you for inquiring. I had not realized you lived in Orlando...we are up that way alot (my sister lives in Apopka).

I'll send you the info...as there are certain cartridges that are acceptable while there are others not...and there are some cartridges that have a lot more value (used!!) then others...I know strange, but hey!

Yes...Disney does the Marathons every year ...in Orlando it is in January and in California it is in April. It is amazing to watch how many people really get involve for different charities, including for Cancer, Diabetes, etc... We (PPMD) are the only organization that does it for Muscular Dystrophy. We had over 180 runners last year and met our goal over and beyond. that is a good sign of a bright future for these boys (and girls) who suffer from Duchenne Muscular dystrophy (DMD) and Beckers (BMD). My son has DMD.

One of the reasons why I work to do the notary work...its a mission for me (ok not only to pay off old bills, but ...) to contribute alot to the advocacy work I do. It is important and any support we can get, from family (which we lack of), friends, and the community makes a world of difference. I am hoping & praying that the Notary community will join in.
