TC/Escrow lowered fees tremondously...too?!

I just got a call from a title/Escrow company asking me to do a closing. To my serprise, they were only willing to pay $65 and $25 for edocs. I told her that was awfully low as the average for this area minimum is $85 not including edocs. She told me she would have to get this approved. I honestly didnt believe that the title companies are stooping so low...SS's yes, but not title companies. If she doesnt call back in 20 minutes that I'm erasing it off my board...I'm not wasting my time with companies who can't comply with my restrictions...in which it is posted on my profiles that I will NOT go lower then $85. What part of this do they not understand?????!!!!

well...they had to obtain my number, my address, etc...they had to seen that my fee was $85...i'm sure anyone who has a "profile" here, has the same thing for SS's, TC's to call to hire you for notary work. If they don't have time, then why is it there for us to fill out? just a thought...d

When I look for a signing agent to cover a signing, I always read their profile, and I am sure most signing services and title companies do read the profiles of the signing agents they call.

I get calls from companies who think I'm in Idaho or Ohio instead of Iowa. Shows how much they read.

My regular TC's and Escrow Co.;s have not changed their fees.
American Title in NE has those standard fees, and they have
been low-ballers since I heard of them. They are the only TC I
have been called by with those fees.
What part of the state are you in? I am in SW FL.

Mistarella: I'm in the heartland of Florida...Highlands county, we have Glades, DeSota, Hardee, Polk and Okochobee surrounding us. I of course did not get the call back so they of course did not accept my basic fee of $110.00 I consider myself low comparing to others i hear charge higher. anyhow...I know some TC's will charge a base (low) fee if they keep you really busy through out the whole month. (like more then 3 a week). But if this is a one time thing, sorry no do.

Are you in the ft myers/naples area? I got a call once to do a closing in ft. meyers. I nearly laughed cuz I was at least 90 mins from them. I asked if they called anyone iin the ft meyers area first. For some reason, she was thinking that the zip code was near my area and when she got the correct address, she realized she was out of the jurisdiction. we laughed about it...but it happens.

Anyhow..thanks for sharing the info from me. I appreciate you taking the time telling me. I hear about it..but guess I forgot since most of the time I hear the oppisite. (know what I mean?)

If you want to shoot me an email with your number and coverage area, I get alot of calls for Arcadia: a little far for me. I take them if I don't have anything esle on the books, or at least 4 hours between assignments, but it's be great if I could have a referral number for this area:
I am in Englewood, right on the Sarasota/Charlotte county border, on the coast.
