Thanks Calinotary

I am saying goodbye. I am tired of the rudeness of this person. I have helped many people on this board
and I get told I am bragging. You are exactly right. I go on the board from time to time, today I do not have an inspection scheduled and I am doing my billing for last week. I was tired of working late nights, 6 days a week for such little pay. Sorry that I have tried to better myself and try to help other people do the same. You can thank Calinotary.

Margaret, I have always enjoyed and learned from you...

I will miss your posts but I know you'll be on the "other" forum so I'm not going to go into "Margaret withdrawal". You have always been very generous with your information, it would be a pity to discontinue sharing because of the discourteous actions of a few. Reconsider!

I have a difficult time accepting behaviors and rudeness simply because someone has knowledge. You lead by example and some of the comments that are made on this board are more geared for the bathroom walls of a junior high. Talking about having a "thick skin" or else you won't survive in this business doesn't move me, I don't care to participate in the lynch mob thought process.

Some of the comments I have read recently make me shake my head and wonder just what the poster was thinking. It's the American Way to communicate, debate is wonderful and a real learning tool. Guidence never hurt anyone and to be constructively critical moves those of us that need it upward and onward. To be cruel, explosive and demeaning is uncalled for. I look at those posts this way, opinions are like a$$ holes, everyone has one but in the end I have an opinion and the disrespectful and cruel poster who is urged on because of their superior knowledge still is....merely an a$$ hole.

Margaret

Please don't stop posting on here. You do give valuble information to others. It does help to see that there are other directions we can go and still work for ourselves. I think Cali's bull in the china shop way of saying somthing should be taken with a grain of salt and a shot of tequila!

Re: Margaret

Calinotary, like you, has always been an asset to this community. Yes, he may be a Mr. Smarty Pants, but he is a helpful one. That is his personality - He is brutally honest. One should not leave due to divergence of another’s comments.

Most of us are here to learn and help others learn

And some are here to criticize and flame. I searched messages, and although I didn't read them all, the ones I did read by that poster seemed negative to me.
That was a critical post and really un-called for. It sounds more like jealousy, it certainly
wasn't constructive criticism.
I wish more people would put some thought and thoughfulness in their posts, not just type out what they are "feeling" at the time.

Mistarella.....

Don't leave! You have a right to be here as do I, and yes, Cali.

Calinotary at times can be harsh. Just ignore him and move on. I will admit that I love reading his posts when I'm having a bad day because he creates the image in my mind of being a bitter old man rocking back and forth in his rocking chair (for which we all know he is not [hey nothing wrong with imagination])........... I laugh everytime he comes out with something most posters deem "rude" and/or "offensive".

Regardless Mistarella you have more supporters then haters.

Simply push Calinotary aside. Big Smile

Korey, I'm not going anywhere

It is Margaret who is leaving.
I agree with your post, but I felt the need to support Margaret.
I get sick of the personal attacks on good people, like Margaret.
I think her post was pertinent to the thread, for those who
are sick of SS BS.
Thank you Sweetie, for your words of encouragement. I appreciate it.
And Margaret, YOU have more supporters here than haters.
Take Korey's advice: simply push calinotary aside.

Re: Thanks Calinotary..Stay on board

Take a break from the board, the board can be informative and fun. Don't allow the negative to bring you down, throughout life there will be many negatives, rise above it all and be stronger for your own well being. I often go days without reading the board and seldom do catch ups with the days I've missed, it's too time consumming and can get boring but then you have a post like Sylvia 's the other day, the off topic with the taser gun, I'm still enjoying that OT post as many others I've shared it with. I do agree their are extremely rude posts here at times and many seem to think it is ok just to excuse because of this or that. There is no need to be rude EVER, but do try to ignore this behavior. It's one thing to be honest with your comments but to never consider the hurtful way in which one shares their opinion is a cold mean way to say what you want to say... I never even bother to open/read some post, if I find the poster to be rude in general I just skip over that post, or if the poster has a habit of posting OT and I don't generally find their idea of funny, funny again pass over it. Let it go life is too short....We can't please everyone all the time and the nonsense that can go on a message board is endless....With that said I have gotten some interesting information here from time to time.

Consider the source Margaret and don't leave, there is

no reason to take it to heart, he revels in being as obnoxious as possible, the best thing is to see him for what he is and just ignore him the way you would a dog t*rd lying on the sidewalk.

Re: Consider the source Margaret and don't leave, there is

Someone posted here that they were wasting a lot of time on this board - here is a post I could waste a lot of time analyzing, defending my thoughts over, and then to save face, I'd apologize for having an opinion.

I don't think anyone who contributes to this board is a dog t-d. I think the world of Margaret and Calinotary and feel that the board will miss much by having either of them leave us.

Re: I wouldn't leave just because of one person...

I think your posts have been relevant and I believe that you have been trying to get people to think. Calinotary in his own way tries to get people to think of what they are doing in the SA field, while you are trying to get people to think "out of the box." While I don't always agree with his delivery, and at times I don't agree with his views, I wouldn't think of giving up on NotRot and neither should you. Please reconsider and ignore him if he irritates you that much, I'm sure others do as well.

Thanks for everyones email and phone calls. I have not clicked on CaliNotarys responses to questions
on the board for sometime. But this one was addressed to me. I still want to be a part of this community
and I will just be posting less.

Margaret, both you and Cali have great contributions to these boards. Your examples on inspections are great and I know I would love to ask you about what your schedule is like to see if it would be a viable option for me. Equally as important is Cali's contributions on time and business management. As well as his learn your trade advice, harsh as it may be some do need a kick in the pants of reality before they get it. So what if Cali thinks you were bragging. I honestly don't see what the big deal is. Yes he wasn't nice but he wasn't so bad as to let that run you off the board. In my opinion I think your reaction is a bit oversensitive. Now I'm not being a critical beyotch, I'm just analyzing the situation. Don't go, just do what you have done and don't read his posts. I for one will read them. Like I said I think you are both valuable members. Would you mind if I email you on the scheduling issue?
