Website Update.
After reading all the feedback from my last update I decided to redesign my site. Here's the link: http://www.keynotary.com
Constructive feedback is very welcome. Thanks, Gustavo.

Re: Hello Sue! How are you today? I'm good Thanks....
Spring break is here so I'm off for the next two weeks and loving every second of it. I need to e-mail you huh, I had a signing last night that was something out of a movie, five dogs and eight birds joined us at the table....wait there was no table....house was cluttered beyond recognition...but as often is the case the lady(rev mtg) was so sweet. Four hours later I returned home, as I entered I removed all clothing at the door, I was awfully itchy but what can one do as we all will reach that stage soon enough.... I have begun removing the clutter today.LOL

Soup, you live is such a lovely location, stopped in a few months ago when I had a school conference in your area. I went into Cupids, love their dogs, used to frequent their place 30 some plus years ago in the San Fernando Valley. How's your weather today....

Nice update...
Professional-looking, and consistent throughout (you'd be surprised how many people use totally different "themes" for each page). The graphics enhance the site & your message is clear. Contact information on every page is a great idea (since some of the search engines may index a page other than your homepage). The load time is very good as well.
Make sure you make use of the meta tags as well (<meta name="keywords" content="" /> <meta name="description" content="" /> , listing your keywords and description. The rule is to not use the same keyword more than once, or you MAY get dinged by a search engine. I include common misspellings within my keywords, also.
The lack of ads & popups (i.e. a free hosting site) adds to the professionalism you express with your website. Great job!

Melissa is right! META tags are important! Hey Melissa...
I just wanted to let you know that not all free hosting sites have popups and/or ads. My website was completely free to build and host online. On my end, no popups or ads appear.
Also... GUSTAVO.....
http://www.scrubtheweb.com has a free META tag builder. It works perfectly. The only thing I had to change in the past was the charset. Once I fixed that problem, everything was was perfect!
Take care, and again, great work!

Re: Melissa is right! META tags are important! Hey Melissa...
Korey, you are right in that not all free sites have pop-ups, etc. but, some of them, in order to offer so-called "free space" have ads ingrained in the site to defray site costs. The user has no control over what ads are displayed.
I was making a generalized statement ::shame on me::
Thanks for the correction.

No shame..... Melissa
I didn't know if you, or others, were aware that very FEW free sites have no popups and/or ads. That's all. I just discovered this about two (maybe three) months ago.
The trick is to search and seek the internet to find the good free sites.
That's all. Thanks for your quick reply.
Happy signings!

I'm too tired to read everyone's response, so I'm not sure if this was pointed out. Where it says "Key Notary is dedicated to provide", it should be "providing." Also, I don't think the news feed provides visitors with anything essential for a notary site. It's just like having a counter, you might think it's really cool but your site is for your clients and it serves no purpose. They didn't go to your site for news. Other than that, it is far and away the best notary site I've seen (and I'm speaking as a former web designer). Absolutely outstanding.

How is it that you were able to post your website information and NO ONE yelled at you for posting it. I posted mine the first day I bulit it and the entire forum told me about the RULES against such things. I guess I am just the new guy and am not yet in the click.... your site looks great BTW. I just wanted to vent.

Re: Website Update. - TitleGal has the answer, Jax. . .
TitleGal has the answer, Jax. You are posting the same type of site that this one is on a free ticket, no less. I never list **competing** businesses on my site, do you? Yours could be perceived as one which might replace the notrotThe NR owner (aka Harry Puffdaddy) cracked down about it and started acting out when someone posted competing sites on his site...that he pays for...and that he spends thousands of advertising dollars on each year.
As I recall, I was the only one who snarled at you...were there other rude notaries on this site besides me?
Off with their heads, then...that's my job.

TitleGal DID NOT have the answer . .
I would never try to replace Harry. I have deleted all reference to my website from Notary Rotary. Title Gal did not have the anwer, since I am NOT a signing service. My website has folks listed who serve the Jacksonville area, is this my competition?, may be.... but we have a unique working relationship. I had a call 2 days ago from someone who needed help. I was busy, I called someone on my website... asked them to mention that they were refered by JaxNotary.com. They did.
The customer got service, the notary got paid, I got got free advertisement. Does anyone here do that? If you can't provide service for whatever reason... would you call someone else on the NotaryRotary list and ask them to do it?... again let me mention that I built my site to help serve the good folks of Jax Fl.
And all of this still begs the question" is it O.K. to bend the rules, as long as everyone on this forum agrees?" the rules are very clear: 1. Do not advertise your own products or services without prior approval. Most advertisements are not relevant to most users and are therefore wasted space. 2. Do not advertise competing websites, directly or indirectly, without prior approval. We spend thousands of dollars per month to advertise our service for your benefit. We would rather not be paying to advertise for the benefit of our competitors. This includes sites like 123 and goMobile. BTW: I do pay for my site.

Re: Website Update - Jax
Because you're a signing service, that's why, and you list notaries for hire, just like Notary Rotary.
Form a Notary forum and you'll be outa here, my friend. Harry hardly needs to monitor his site, his members do it for him.
You had to ask this?

I am NOT a Signing Service
LOOK AGAIN, I am a not a signing service. I am a Notary, just like everyone else here. My site promotes the Jacksonville area. And by your answer I am guessing it is O.K. to bend the rules as long as the members of this forum agree with it?
