You wonder where borrowers' keep their heads

Did a signing last week for a borrower who is having a home built; construction has yet to start. Included in the packet were, among other similar goodies, affidavits that said the work had started by a date we have not yet reached, and all the work was completed by X date. Before reaching those affidavits, I had handed her each document with a one-sentence explanation of its purpose. With the afore-mentioned documents, however, I simply handed them to her and said "You may wish to read these." She read them, and signed them without even a question.

Borrowers like that may deserve to have a contractor screw up their homebuilding project.

Yep. You're correct as always. I see alot of it due to condo conversion. What was that saying back in the 90's? "Things that make you go..... Hmmmm?"
