a convenient inconvenience

Although we are supposedly providing a convenience to the borrowers, it didn't dawn on me until a few days ago that we are, at times, an inconvenience to them.

I did a signing where the borrower came to the door in his robe and pajamas. It was 1:00 in the afternoon, and he usually sleeps at that time because he works the evening shift. It was a split signing. His wife would be signing later in the evening. That was the only time that he could sign. We got through the signing, I thanked him for his time, and allowed him to go back to sleep.

I hope he didnt make you feel like you were invading his time. Because he could have just as well got up, got dressed and went somewhere to sign docs. Which I think would be more of an inconvenience to him than this way.
On another note, one of the things I love about this job is some days not having to get out of my pajamas and still get work done. Try that at the officeSmile

I agree! I love them days too! Smile

A lot of times my "day job" (paralegal) allows me to work right from my home office. I love those days because I can do whatever I want as long as I turn in my work before the deadline(s).

Sometimes it IS inconvenient for the Bs, but not as bad as having to get respectably dressed to go to a bank or title co. during 'business hours'. It's in the high 80's here & Friday's was signed in a beautiful clean home by a barefoot couple in shorts...he was wearing a tank top & she was in a halter top. Me in my suit envied 'em, big time!

I did a signing last week for a lady dressed in her nightgown and slippers. She was extremely nice. She also sleeps during the day and works at night.

Clearly a person very comfy in her skin, she felt no need to be anyone other then herself.
