info about loan signing

This has probably been asked before but I maybe wording it wrong in the search area. When we complete a signing and fax the company our bill with the tracking number. How long does it usually take before they pay us? If this has been asked and I am asking again if you could help by giving me the posting message # or title so I can read it would be great. Thank you all for your time. Tanya

Tanya if you signed up with a new company & they didn't tell you in their "contract agreement" what their normal pay dates are, (if they sent you one) if not then you generally figure about 30 days from the "fund date". That is the date the loan is scheduled to be funded. If they didn't send you a contract agreement you will want to be specific in your invoice as to the 30 days due date. Some SS's dont' want an invoice but will identify a number # issued in the confirmation of the notary assignment. That would serve as your reference # and you can make an inquiry on when your payment can be expected. I don't know of any specific previous post to your question regarding payment policies, however I haven't read all of the HX of the board questions. Good luck with your future signings. If you want e-mail responses you will have to add the link to your profile before anyone could send you e responses.

Sher/AZ had it pretty well right, but it could take anywhere from 15 days to 60 days, depending upon the company. If you can't find it in --or didn't sign--a contract, give 'em a call.

Re: Tanya- When a company calls me that haven't used

me before, after the details, where and when is the signing. I ask for their pay schedule, who do I invoice and please send confirmation to my e-mail account which must include fee.
Again if they have never used me, I run to NOTROT and do a search on the company see what comments I come up with and make a decision as to whether I want to take my chances. Not all companies will treat all notaries the same so where as one notary may have had a bad experience, another may not have. PS-One is able to click on your link just fine.
