Be aware of ServiceLink they will not pay you what they say they are going to pay notaries. I did a closing for them a 1st and 2nd e-mail docs and they were suppose to pay me 155.00 and when i got the check they only paid me 130.00 when I called and asked where is the remaining amount of my money they said to bad you are not going to get that is all we pay

Did they send a confirmation with the fee in writing?

I’ve not had any problems with Service Link. Service Link sends a very lengthily confirmation and includes the fee that was agreed. Does this fee show $155.00? Does this fee show $130.00?
You should always look for the confirmed/agreed fee on the confirmation. If it is incorrect, you should address it immediately. In my opinion, if the confirmation shows $130.00 and the signing was for last month, I would consider it a loss and a learning lesson. JMHO

I just talk to them to update my information for WV. She says, ok do you want to keep your fees the same, and I ask what they have me down for and she said $60.00. I said what? She said that their cap was $60 for overnight and $75 for edocs. I told her my fees where 100.00 for overnights and 135.00 for edocs. She told me that she would have to deactivate me. I told her that was fine, I don't do anything for less than 100.00. Oh well.

I am probably de-activated as well. I've not received a call from them for about three months. The only time they usually call me is for last minute signings at EOM -when I am booked with my regulars and cannot accommodate them.

Me too, and I'm rather bummed about all this. I had two very similar "fee issues" with them a short while back. I "won the first, and lost the second" as it were. Updated my fees and haven't heard a peep from them since. They are really great to work with. But I just can't stand the thought of closing their loans for less than what I've always gotten in the past.

I have a set minimum fee of $100, so when anyone contacts me, I simply let them know up front that the $100 is the minimum, and lose a few, but the way I figure it is, what if I start taking them for $65 or $70 and I get the $100+ calls and I am booked with the low fee companies, then I would lose the $100+ fee that I fight so hard to get.
Hold the line and you will get all you can handle at your fee, I know I do!

I don't know about you or anyone else that does closings, but if I didn't get paid what I agreed to, I would contact a collection agency and have them work on collecting it, but before I did contact the collection agency, I would let them know what I was going to do and they may go ahead and cough up the remaining part of the fee.
Vital Signings tried to stiff me and I let them know what I was going to do and they then coughed up the fee.
Good luck.
