these lenders...
are wasting too much of my time with packages that have 2 or 3 conflicting truth in lendings, as well as a note with tottally different info, and none of it even close to the paperwork they sent the borrowers to begin with. Apparently they think that all borrowers are stupid and the problem for them is that the borrowers are smart enough to know when they are being screwed. I had 2 today that were no signs for the very same reason- different lenders. Some of these guys should stick to selling ice to eskimos...

Donna, look at the dates on the TIL's
I can't speak about the note, but it is common (for me) to find TIL's that have been superceded by the Final TIL. If you look at the dates on the other TIL's, you may see other dates. These were probably in negotiation at the time, and the borrower declined that rate ultimately. They are not obligated to those rates, they are just signing that they have received a copy of that particular TIL. I believe that then lender must have a copy in the file for the loan to fund. I always check/prep the package for names and dates before going to the appointment. Loan signing 101.

Re: Donna, look at the dates on the TIL's
one package had a couple of different TILs and then on the note there was a totally different amount, the terms sere different throughout the package, and it was just a mess. The other one was a case wherethe borrower had been given an estimsted closing cost of 3500 but when the final paperwork came out the closing costs were over 11,000 and the borrower said he wasn't going for that. The lender gave him some BS about how he was unaware that the costs had gone up

This wouldn't even be an issue if the L/O didn't drop the ball by not disclosing changes before the appointment. Sometimes I get the feeling that this (one of those appts. where all terms are wrong) is their one last ditch effort to close the loan on OUR dime.
