title company pay

is it common for a title company to pay under a $100.00 for a basic signing I thought they pay $150 or more.

You know if I was the person asking the question, I would be insulted by the tone of your answer. The person asked a legitimate question, so what if they're new, we learn bu asking others. If you have to hide anonymously, just to insult others, then maybe the forum moderators should look closely at your postings and give warning, especially if this is the manner in which you "help" other who have questions, and if you continue in this manner then maybe you should be banned from posting, just like in many other forums I'm in. So be respectful of someone's posts and remember you were there once before and you probably wished to be treated with a modicum of respect, not belittlement.

Re: Same question---different reasoning

Im starting to get a picture of the who and why of fees concerning Title Comps. I have some title comps that meet my fee and then some who want to pay a lower fee. The picture Im getting is the bigger, national title comps can meet the fee, and the local, in state title comps cant. I was under the impression at first also, if they were a title comp, the fee would be higher, but this is not the case. The fee I get is negotiated for every single signing whether it is a title comp or signing service.

Yes, I agree with you, the title companies that use me, the fee is decided at that time and I always do appreciate them asking and "What do you Charge"

Re: Same question---different reasoning

I agree with both of you. I appreciate a reasonable and fair offer, and will more then likely accept the signing. Offer me $40, $50 or even $65 and I will say "no thank you".

THANK YOU so much for you remark as i just posted a thread about some people here who can be brutal in their response/s that it makes the person not even want to ask any questions!

How I wish you could tell everyone that same thing. Some people are so mean and rude for no reason. I mean, why respond at all if you can't answer someone's question with class! Thank you for standing up!

title companies are in general trying to come down on their fees, not most, but some. This is because they are finding notaries that will take these fees. I received a call from 'American Title' thinking it was a 'title' company, and they could go no higher than $60 for o/n docs. If you're in a saturated area, they know it and have 50 more notaries to call, no skin off their backs.
