Appraisals.....

I would like to get into to the appraisal business. I did a search but really didn't come up with anything. I know you have to go through an apprentice program. But, how do you get started? Any informmation would be appreciated. Thanks!!

Do a search. Again. Lots of info here.

Most important: you have to do 2 yrs of crap pay internship before applying for license.

Most states you have to take classes and an exam for every class. Then you take a state exam which isn't cheap or easy.

I don't know all the gory details but word on the street is that appraiser license requirements are to be upgraded in 2007 and its ugly.
