BBB's response to BBB topic below...
Here is the email I received from the BBB regarding calls that have been referenced in the topic yesterday.

Thank you for your continued support. You are absolutely correct in stating that we do not offer either of the services listed below. If there is any contact information for the companies who are representing themselves as part of the BBB, we (or our Council of Better Business Bureaus) can contact these individuals to ask them to stop and we can create reports on these companies/individuals.

and name if possible, and report it to the BBB.
The BBB does NOT cater to the "Notary Profession", nor do they help with Collections and offer legal representation (other than thru arbitration).

I just called Mona and spoke with her regarding the call I had received yesterday. It sounds like the same person is making the calls - someone named Larry. I gave her his name and phone number and she will look into it. The number does appear to come from their Reseda office, so she will investigate to make sure if it is legitimate, that accurate information is being relayed to notaries.
Thanks, Barbara, for sending the email to the BBB. One way or the other, it can now be looked into from their end and, hopefully, resolved.
