BEWARE OF COMPANY CALLED: Notary In My Back Yard

Its been almost 3 Months now with NO payment received. They don't return phone calls nor emails either. I did a rush job for them as well as error free. This is so unfair what some of these small companies do to us. Has anyone worked for this guy before? His name is Keith Howard.

Sylvia,

To my knowledge, over the past three years of filling 50-100 orders per month, there have only been two complaints regarding my company -the first being around July of 1995. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Enough with the e-mails and phone calls

Write up a final demand letter and send it register mail. Spell out exactly your course of action and then see it through. Tell them you will file a action in small claims court and supeona, tilte, lender and borrower. You wil report their non payment to BBB and Dunn & Bradstreet. Finally you will file a complaint with your local DA for fraud. If they don't respond, take all of the above actions.

Our payment policy called for Sherry to be sent payment around July 15, 2006 for this assignment. Payment was sent directly by our bank on July 17th, 2006. This payment was never cashed by Sherry, so a payment investigation was initiated by the bank. This investigation result was forwarded to Sherry. This payment was cancelled and a new check was issued. Sherry received this payment on August 25, 2006 and Sherry emailed me indicating she had received payment. This resulted in a little over a month delay. Of course Sherry did not follow up to place closure on her public complaint, or provide any further details that would be objectively read here. I'm hoping Sherry will do so...

I would like to state the facts here. First of all when I spoke initailly to Keith on 6/3/06 I expressed to Keith that I cannot do this signing unless payment is sent to me within 30 days max. Keith assured me several times that I would have payment within TWO weeks and that he pays promtly. That did not happen. I tried to contact Ketih several times, 6/22/06 7/16/06, 08/16/06 but did not get a response back from Keith until 8/22/06. Keith said payment had been mailed, however I told him I never received any payment and I have not had any address changes. Keith said he needed to do a bank inquiry and will get back to me. I know when one needs to find out if a check has cleared the bank or not, it takes a matter of minutes in getting this info. However I went along with it, and yet still did not hear from him. I then contacted Keith again on 08/24/06 and Keith then responded to me saying the check has been replaced and the new check is in the mail. I finally received a check on 08/25/06 and I Thanked him. I can't say if Keith was going to pay me or not if I had not continued to follow up with him, perhaps it was bad communication on his part or the way he does business is something to think about....however its now paid in full and I am done.
(I would have followed up sooner on this complaint, but I have been in the hospital on bedrest...I just delievered twins!
