I had the same problem trying to locate a tif viewer that was good - and preferably FREE. I didn't find a free one but I found Able Fax Tif View which I think is very good. Try that one. I think you can get a few days free trial, but it IS for sale ultimately.

Try IrfanView. I've been using it for about 3 years. It's free and I use it for all images...
