Brendatx- Re Reverse mortgages

How common is it to require the signer to intitial all the pages that do not require signitures?

I have one today that does

It's my impression that this is not common or necessary. It's also my impression that the paperwork has been put together so that they do not have to sign documents repeatedly where unnecessary.

This "impression" comes from seeing a change in paperwork over the last 2.5 yrs.

Re: Brendatx- Re Reverse mortgages - wait!

I said not "common or necessary" - however, if that's what the lender wants - it is necessary. Sorry - did not mean to mislead.

Brenda, I've looked over the contents so far. Very good from what I see just there. I did intend to read, but got thrown into searching your marketing ideas and Google. That's where I really need the help with getting my site out...if anyone wants to co-link with me, let me know.
Also Brenda, the advertising has my interest peaked, but anything with the internet is Greek to me. Still trying to plod thru it and looking for a quick way to learn and not spend a small fortune. Your contributions are very generous. We are all lucky that you are out there.

Next time you have a coding/programming question call here and speak with Greg.

Initialing every page

I've had a small handfull of these (reg loans-not reverse) It always has been for blue ink co's. I did 1 on thursday, didn't see the blasted instruction, when I did and called the borrower back, he was getting on a plane to Wasington. He'll be back about 6pm today. It was my fault and I'm doing everything I can to fix it, but WHY do they put instructions like these in stupid places? It was in the AFTER signing takes place instructions. (I still should have seen it) Something like that should be, first page bold print or at least in the "during" signing instructions! Still mad at myself though Frown

I'm not Brenda, but ...

... there is one company which demands that every page which is not signed be initialled, whether there is a line for initials or not. Because I value the company's business, I do my best to make sure it happens.

Please remember, we are suffering some of the pickinesses because of some supposed Notary Signing Agents who 1) have not mastered even basic Notary skills; B) are careless. Please note that I'm not slamming newbies! It is not only the newer people that are making errors. The number of times I've heard "The last notary didn't make me take an oath." or "The other notary didn't ask me for any ID, and you're asking me for two forms?!"
