Brother Printer MFC8460N
Staples has a special, here, on this printer. Anyone have any experience with it? Is it PCL5or 6 compliant? Looks like a good deal, but no one there knows enough to answer my questions. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Or am I better off with the HP3550?

I don't know much about them but I just went and look at this model on Staples' website (my printer is used and I always check out others' products) - 2 things stood out (1) does it duplex print? - specs don't indicate that; and (2) only one paper tray?
That may be a problem.

I have one, but had to buy the extra tray. The total, I believe was $625. I've only had it a couple of months, but so far, so good.

It prints 30 pages a minute. I think my HP 1300 laser printer died tonight and that is why I am posting so late. My other printer (HP 1200) is still going great and I bought that printer at least a year before I bought the HP 1300. Go figure!!
I will be buying the Brother MFC 8460 tomorrow.

Sorry I didnt give any info. Yes it is PCL6 and you really dont need the extra tray if you didnt plan on it with your initial purchase. It has a 50 page auto feed. And it will distinguish letter from legal within your pdf. It took a bit to figure out the correct settings and I will be honest "Brother" was eager to help but the staff was not well educated on this model( the warm body I spoke with, anyway) It really has ALOT of features and for the most part easy to use. PS. Staples was no help here as well!
