To bring this thread back to the top and keep it alive. If you found out just before a signing that a company like SOX was a flake would you cancel the signing and if you did not why ?

Okay - I'll play.

I will give a signing back immediately if it feels hinky. Or, if a wall of baffling bs hits me in the face. Or if I run a check here and find out it's slow or no pay.

I am in this to make money. I am not in this to help out a *sorry* signing service, to save anyone's loan, to save the borrower's rate lock, or to get good vibes from the rush of adrenaline called upon to be Superwoman. That will make you an OLD Superwoman before your time.

I am not going to take a crappy signing from a crappy company if I can help it. It's not my fault they have made enough notaries super angry to post information (one post, no biggy/many posts - oh yeah.)

I might post later on this subject, but the whole smarmy game of the FOG (fear, obligation and guilt) complimented by "but I am only getting $xx for this signing." and "what's your fee so high for?" played on the notary steams me...and I should finish what I am doing and not get started right now.
