Countrywide - date stamps?
Does anyone know about Countywide wanting us to use date stamps now instead of the customer printing the date themselves? The guy from Silk Abstract just mentioned to me that if the date is illegible it will delay funding of the loan. He said they have been requesting that for 6 months now.

I've heard of this request before, but not from Countrywide.
The company that requested the dates be stamped, included a date stamp in the package.

I do many CWs and have never heard of that. In fact, I deal with a company whose biggest client is CW and I just asked her...'new one on her' was her reply.

YES.....
One of my clients primarily works with Countrywide and they REQUIRE date stamps and split packages....They (my client) have been requiring this for about 4 months now.

I have had one cw like this. They gave the borrower the option. The other ones I've done have made it clear that the borrowers need to print the date neatly. I think it depends on who's handling the loan.

I have down multiple CW loans for different Title Companies, Some require the stamp and others dont. I get in the habit of asking now at the confirmation, stamp-yes/no

I do a large number of Countrywide, some require split packages, none have required date stamps.

OMG - things do change! Once upon a time in a land far, far away, no date stamps were accepted!
Note: When doing CW loans one MUST learn to print like Arial Font 10pt - 12pt - 14pt depending on document.

Now if they'd talk signature stamps, I'd be real happy!
