Fidelity National

Just wanted to post a "Thank You" to Fidelity National for assistance in obtaining payment from Shaun of AllState Notary. Shaun apparently has no last name, no address and no real business, only an e-mail address (all info on his check for business name, PO Box, etc. was handwritten on bank draft) however Fidelity National was instrumental in forcing the payment, so Kudo's to Jena and other's who helped to bring this four month fiasco to an end!

Well good for FNF and their escrow officer. It gives me faith that there may be one or two that have some scruples in that company. Well done.

For future reference re P.O. boxes

If a P.O. box is being used for BUSINESS, you can request disclosure of the renter's identity and physical address. USPS regulations would have helped you track Shaun down (but it might not have helped).

Re: For future reference re P.O. boxes

Thank you Ernest, however this jerk wouldn't disclose anything except his e-mail address. He refused to answer e-mails or phone calls asking about an address to send my invoice to from day one! That is how he does business! He seriously thought he could get away not paying, so that's why I posted my original msg after two months to alert others to his game! Fortunately I was able to get assistance through Fidelity National to take up the issue on my behalf.
