Got a call from Sign on the X...

Are these people worth trying. It seems that I remember hearing bad comments about them I did a search but came up with all kinds of unrelated messages. Any feedback is appreciated.

What kind of unrelated messages did you find? Every time I see a post on here about SOX it's quite clear to me whether or not they're worth working for.

My search was not for "SOX." Thanks, I will try again.

As you may have found in your new search they have a terrible reputation for payment from almost everyone on this site. Add questionable ethics and most will stay away.. Good luck.

However, you will also find that MOST of the searchable posts are from the past, some from many YEARS in the past.

Some of us have accepted assignments, been paid our demanded rates and on time. No problem.

Remember, if you read it on an internet forum, ANYTHING should be taken with a grain of salt (or two), nbe it my post OR ANY OTHER.

I, personally, have no issues with them. AND, judging by the post count of folks asking about them in internet forums after they are called by them for an assignment, thay DO a lot of work from several different sources.

This, in my OWN PERSONAL HUMBLE OPINION (bash on, folks) also says something about them as does all the search results you might find.

Do yourself a favor, make up your own mind about this and many other issues instead of doing what other people say you should do. If you don't want to take a chance, fine. If you feel like you have enough time to possibly find another client, take a job, and chalk it up to experience instead of "what you read on an internet forum" ........

For your information, please be advised of this info that will be on any assignment from them :

"Please invoice Sox monthly (send only one invoice for all signings completed for the entire month on the First day of the next month). Checks will be cut on the 30th of the next month i.e. October signings paid on November 30th. Do NOT use this as your invoice. Please do not enclose your invoice with the loan documents that you have signed. If you need a blank invoice, please call our Accounts payable department. Please fax monthly invoices to Accounts Payable at (949) 643-7007. Any work not billed within 90 days of completion will be void.

SOX has a passion for being extraordinary in everything we do from operational excellence to providing a superior customer service to all of our clients and the SOX family. We seek to outperform our competition and, above all, give signing peace of mind.”

If you feel that you have received anything less than the best service possible, please contact [the] supervisor: Brian Milius at 949-463-1612 or via email @ [e-mail address]"However, you will also find that MOST of the searchable posts are from the past, some from many YEARS in the past.

Unless you have a way to PROVE that I have had no problems with SOX, may I suggest that you CALL ME DIRECTLY to discuss your posting every time I post on this subject?

Unless you have a way to PROVE she (and most everyone else for that matter) didn't follow the directions PRECISELY, won't don't you back off? Last I checked, this is still a free country. She can't post a response to any member. It's up to Harry's discretion to remove it or not.

Care to share where you found that?

I have no knowledge of anything of the sort, and having written anything I am aware that is posted anywhere in public about my three certifications, you should either email it to me or call me.

I know of NO NotRot certification available, and therefore would have never written that I and certified as such.

Yes, if you can't prove this, I'm calling you a liar. Prove it, please.

Thanks for forwarding where you found that error Charles. I had picked up (copied) the wrong web site URL when that was pasted to that profile.

It has been corrected, with the intended web site URL reaplcing it, and you are obviously NOT a liar. Smile

No Problem Alan

I already e-mailed you a PDF of the profile in its entirety and since you decided to make a public exposition of this perhaps the others should know, after all it is a public document set up as a profile on a notary database: I'm sure you will change it immediately. I don't want to take up space on a great website but if anyone is interested it would actually be my pleasure to send a copy or the URL or the .pdf of the actual profile to any one who might be interested where you state:

"I also completed two more certifications with both XXXxxxxxx.com and notaryrotary.com...."

Now tell us you did not! I have your return e-mail to prove my point, it may have been in error but people who proselytize about the ignorance of others shouldn't make errors!

all I get is the run around from SOX, they owe me $655 going back to April 2006. All Brandy does is give me the run around. First she tells me I used the wrong fax numer, the very one you have written. Then she says that it will be mailed out this week and it should arrive the following week. It never comes, she never returns the calls. How in the world you get to have your invoice paid is beyond me. If I was such a bad notary, why did I get all those assignments? I finally reported SOX to the BBB and guess what? She finally returns my call to ask me to remove the remark. I told her when I get my money I will remove it. She hung up!!! I guess she never intended to ever pay me. Now Why and how she chooses to pay whom and to who not to pay is beyond me. I have never met the girl and never had anything bad to say but why she choose me as the notary to stiff it to is beyond me and why she chose to pay you is also beyond me, It could be that you are related to one of the staff members? of SOX? Or you are some jerk at SOX who is trying to give it a good name when in fact it really stiffs a lot of notaries.

Update: Got a call from Sign on the X...

I'm such a nice person to give the benefit of the doubt and draw my own conclusions from my own personal experiences (rather than hearsay). . .

After an hour went by and no confirmation, I called to confirm if they had the right email address, even though it had been confirmed in the prior call. I had to leave a message in someone else's box. Called a second time 20 minutes later. This time she picked up and was informed that the signing had been canceled since they would not be able to meet my expectations of sending the 1st and 2nd refi package 3 hours prior to the appt time.

Then the excuses came:
she had been out to lunch (take that anyway you wish)
sent you an email
don't know what time it was sent
been having trouble with my email
just started yesterday and getting my email set up
had the IT guy fixing it this morning
next time I will call you, instead, if job gets cancelled

(thinking to myself)
Uh. . . don't think there will be a next time! So sorry, you had your chance.
