I got a call to do a signing...

way up in the mountains, no notaries up there. Do I go there, sure! What is your fee, so tell her. Well the signing doesn't have a set time and the docs are going to the borrower, what would your fee be? Say what? The same! She'll get back to me. Do they think they are doing us a favor by sending the docs to the borrower. so much that we should reduce our fee? Actually by sending the docs up there, I know I couldn't have a morning or early afternoon appointment.

You must be close to me. Sounds like one I got today. I told them I charge extra when the docs go to the borrowor as more often than not, the borrowor opens everything, ignorging the note "notary copies, do not open", goes through them, mixes up the copies with the loan company copies, thinks they are going to save time my signing them before I get there etc. I told this company I take off the surcharge if the BO does not open the notary copies. I did not get a call back either ....
