I don't understand why the original post was deleted????
The message posted by GH seeking notaries wasn't, in my opinion, abusive. The post simply asked for notaries and he provided an email address. What's absuive about that?

I agree PAW. Are the rules changing? GH replied to my email and he is with a reputable TC. I don't get it.
BTW - I sent him my little referal list with your phone number on it. Just trying to help out my fellow Floridians.

I too have sent him a couple of emails but, the last one was returned with a "mailbox full" error.

Re: Isn't Tommye R. Sardin Sardin's message illegal?
Tommy should have responded to the email address provided, like everyone else, rather than abusively using this forum for all the responses.

I guess Tommye can't follow directions. The email had specific, easy to follow instructions on how to sign up with the company.

Re: Message Deleted (Delete Reason Update)
The action reason applied to this post and another like it was mis-coded as Abusive. The reason should have been "Advertising." (It has been updated.)
We do not want signing services, title companies, etc., openly soliciting agents on the board for a number of reasons. The foremost is that the requests are often only pertinent to a small sub-section of Notary Rotary members and noise to everyone else. California notaries, for example, will have no interest in a request for Illinois notaries. Illinois notaries who follow this board, on the other hand, may already be signed-up with the requesting company.
Second, it is somewhat destructive in the long-term. The more companies we allow to solicit sign-ups from Notary Rotary membership for the purposes of populating their own in-house databases (or, in some cases, shared databases being used by our competitors), the less they need to call upon Notary Rotary for immediate needs. This is the same reason we do not simply give our entire database away to those companies who have asked for it. ("Hey, we get tired of having to search your site for notaries. Can't you just give us all your data?"
Third, we would be opening a can of worms by continuing to allow these requests insofar as it would take an increasing amount of effort to distinguish between beneficial and/or legitimate requests and harmful ones. That is, while there could be a company that would not otherwise have an interest in the notaries reading this board - for example, if someone needed 50 notaries in a certain area to cover a major event of some type - we would still need to determine the legitimacy and intention behind the request.
Fourth, it is a fairly direct form of advertising, which is not the purpose of the forum:
"...to allow professional notaries public to share experiences, advice and opinions with other members of the profession."

You don't have to explain yourself Harry - it's YOUR site
My first thought was....so if you're looking for notaries in a specific area....there is the "find a notary" tab that Notary Rotary provides.
Is using this resource too much work for the TC/SS? Geez, they might have to break a sweat by typing in a zip code. I guess it is too much work for them...much easier to just post something that says...hey...sign up with us...you notaries can do all the work...just like ambulance chasers. The message is: Knock your self out as the SS is always in the driver's seat.
I suggest the TC/SS does their OWN legwork rather than every notary falling all over themselves to sign up on the SS website and doing their job for them.
It might switch the tide to the Professional Signing Agent being in the drivers seat as no SS can survive without us. Just a thought.
Good call, Harry.
