I just chanced upon this website while searching for other things, but it has alot of mortgage terminology explained. Just thought I'd pass it on to anyone that can benefit from it. Smile

I am writing a paper for my RE Law class on Real Estate jargon. I chose this topic because I think it is humorous that sometimes, a borrower’s eyes see the word “HUD” at the top of the settlement statement, and say, “I don’t have a HUD home”.

We have our own lingo that those who are unfamiliar with real-estate loans, find themselves lost when reading about: TIL, RTC, NOBS and so on…

Thank you for the link; I’ve found some other acronyms I have forgotten.
