Notary participated in forgery

A notary notarized documents when the signer wasn't in front of him.
He and another man had forged "quit claim deeds" The other man was the person who was "quit claimed to"
The notary has to serve 5 years probation, a $5,000 fine and a share of the restitution. The other man was sentenced to 30 years.

What's known in Spanish as a "Son of Seven" (oops)

"Hijo de Siete"

i.e. any one of seven men might be his father.
