Nreis
Had a call from NREIS on Saturday to do a Countrywide Mod about 25 miles from my home anytime in the next 30 days. They would not budge about paying the usual $45. I agreed but said I would do it when it was convenient to go to that city, or a city nearby, for some other reason when I wouldn't be spending money on gas just for that closing. The scheduler agreed saying again that I had 30 days to complete the modification. I know they are only 9 pages with one notarization so I'm glad to do it in conjunction with something else nearby.
Here it is only two days later and they have already emailed me once and called me once to get the "status" of the closing. I told them in both the email and the phone call what I said above...that I would do it when it was convenient. If they want to schedule someone else to do it quicker, they can try.
Now I'm reading about "slow pay" issues with them anyway. What was I thinking?

You were thinking exactly what you stated. Now they are trying to change the rules. Sounds like you handled it well. Rules haven't changed & if NREIS isn't happy, they can find another notary.

I don't know why they are only paying you $45.00, I always get alot more.

Are you sure you got more for a Mod Agr? They wont budge off
$45 for those no matter how far from you the signing is because they give you an alloted amount of time to complete them. I turn those down because of the fee but I do lots of other signings for them. BTW, they do pay, sometimes it exceeds 30 days.

I will never again do a modification with NREIS!! It takes months of calls and emailing to get paid for them. It is just not worth the hassle. Hope you have better luck with them than I have in the past.

I'm surprised by the neg feedback -- I get paid within 2 weeks by NREIS, sometimes much faster.

I have the same experience with payment - quick. But have been turning down most of their jobs due to low pay.
