Oh yet another one of those low ball SS
SS: We pay XX for edocs
Me: Unfortunately my fee is XXX.XX
SS: I'm sorry well we already have a notary within your area that will do it for XX if need be it.
Me: I'm sorry to becuase when you need it corrected my XXX.XX just increased to XXX.XX + XX.XX
SS: What is that supposed to mean and why?
Me: If you have to ask you obviously never used the other SA, good luck and I wish you well but remember what my quoted fee is.
SS: (huffy puffy with attitude) Well I dont know what you mean but good bye.
Me: Have a great day!

Next day:
SS: Hi this is Jane Doe with SS. We have a closing at 123 Main Street. We had another SA who inproperly completed the closing and we need another SA to reclose.
Me: I understand and what is your fee that you pay?
(btw in the inital conversation i was given the address and all the particulars)
SS: XX for edocs
Me: Sorry my fee is XXX.XX + XX like I mentioned to you previously.
SS: What? You mean your charging us more now?
Me: My dear I dont bluff when I transact business which means I meant every word when we previously spoke. With that said if you want me to complete this closing this evening its under my terms, my rules, and my fee and if you dont hurry up and confirm with me my fee is going to be XXX+xx +XXX if you call me back. Oh and btw way please use my pay pal account to prepay for the closing.
SS: what we cant prepay.
Me: Good luck finding another notary and again when you call me back my fee increased even more.
SS: Let me see what I can do.
(on hold at this point)
SS manager: We dont transact business like this.
Me: This is my terms take it or leave it and when you get in trouble with your TC and they call me directly the next time for a closing in this area, you just lost a considerable amount of business.
SS Manager: Well we will just take you out of our database then.
Me: Yes please do and be forwarnded if you call back I am filing a harrasement compliant with my local police dept on you since you previously knew what my terms are. Have a great day.

Next day:
TC: HI we have a closing at 123 Main Street that we had a SS close with a notary in your area but we have to redo the closing becuase the notary closed it inproperly.
Me: Oh yes I know which one your refering to.
TC: You do?
Me: Yes I sure do, and proceed to explain everything upt o this point.
TC: well we will be glad to have you complete it for the fee you qutoed.
Me: Not a problem. Send over the confirmation, et. al.
TC: OK great.

Next day:
Tc calls and give me 5 more orders within the next week to close in the area for them.
BTW they paid within 5 days for each closing.

One final note...
While there are many horrible and unprofessional SS there are also those that are wonderful to work with. I dont want my first statement to project that all SS are horrible just that there are many out there, just as there are many incompetent TCs, Notaries, etc.
On a side note there are many SS that are COMPETENT and easy to work with; SLB SIGNING aka Sherry for example.
