Posting Title Company Names...

Here's a little thought. I will seldom post a title company's name I am doing business with because (1) it gives the idea to others in my area to solicit them (2) it gives a lead to signing services that they do not currently have a scheduler.

If I post a title company's name, I am only doing it to warn others if they do not pay.

This may not apply to all states, but if I owned a signing service this forum would be mighty ripe for the picking. Notaries are giving up the names of title and mortgage companies left and right. Just take the job and do it. Don't cut your own throat by giving up a clue to your good companies.

Title company clients are gold...

If you read this link and follow the instructions you personally will know the title companies in YOUR area to hit. Gather the info, learn from it and keep the word on who your work for MUM from the list you develop.

Okay...that had a run on sentence, but you get the point. Work SMARTER FOR MORE, not harder for less.

Hey Brenda....not sure if that was for me, however just in case it is, I'd like to 1st say, Island View Financial is a Signing Service. I did not call them a Title Company in the posting. I am successful in my business and DO NOT LIVE IN FEAR...period. I am good and confident at what I do and my relationships with my clients are even stronger than my signing expertise. Truly I am not worried. I will continue to post Kudos to the Great Signing services. This is just how I am. Love what I do and love great people. Positive energy breeds positive energy and we ALWAYS reap what we sow. ALWAYS!

Anyhow, wishing you a happy EOM! Mine is.

Michelle,

I write what I do for notaries like me--who are tired of being offered little for much.

There is no fear in my writing. There is concern for those who do not understand our game.

Once again...They are not a Title Co. and I don't have time to dabble in "the game". Its just notary business... not Mafia Business. LOL!

Lastly...the best way to change the temperature of a specific atmosphere is through praise.
It just works. That is the whole reason I gave kudos in the first place was because I too have been burned. Haven't we all?

Well I am getting back to work. This is the only time I have ever been on this board because I am always busy with signings and it will probably be the last. What a turn off. How negative my first experience was. Geeezzzz.

Back to the work I so love. Later.

Michelle-

What I don't understand is that you think this post was directed at you?
If you took the time to scroll back a few pages you would see that a lot of folks have been posting about title company's.
I personally have taken advantage of this and keep track of each one, done a Google search and have contacted many with my information.

Brenda was trying to make the point to EVERYONE that as well as posting information here for other notary's the SS (most) that we all complain about are reading and will do the same thing I did. Contact these title companies and solicit their business. Why give them the opportunity?

I don't understand you coming on this board for the first time and making judgements about the posters? If you think your experience was negative, you really won't be able to take the heat around here and your right for not hanging around.

I'm really glad that your so happy with your work load, good for you.

Maybe before posting you should just read for awhile?

Beverly

Thank you, Bev. For a minute there I thought I was losing touch with reality. Mafia? Where'd that come from?

Re: Posting Title Company Names...Michelle

Take note of your posting time. It is at 12:43 pm. >>140916 Kudos to Island View Financial. - MICHELLE WILLIAMS on 8/25/06 12:43pm <<

My posting time was 12:46 pm. I probably took three minutes, or more, to write what I did because I am constantly doing two or three things at once.

Before I made this statement, I wanted to make sure it was so--I had no idea you had posted this info about Island View Financial until I got through with my own post. I did not see it until you come forth with your post to mine. What I wrote is from impressions that have been left on my mind in the last few weeks. I have been meaning to mention it for awhile.

My world is not revolving around you. If I had a problem with your post, I'd either ignore and tell you that is the way it is. I don't care if you give kudos to every single place you work for. It doesn't affect me here.

Re: Not all about you...

BrendaTx didn't call you out. I took her post (not a response to yours, by the way) for what it was, general information...you know, food for thought.

How arrogant to assume it was about you at all.

Just my 2 cents.

Michelle, there was nothing negative about Brenda's post

It was wise advice from a knowledgeable and respected individual. What was negative was your childish reaction to a post that wasn't even directed at you. I just love chipper little cheerleader posts about positive energy blah blah blah that are really taking a swipe at someone (Brenda) or everyone (this board). We're wise enough to recognize passive aggressive behavior when we see it. Why don't you read Brenda's e-book that she spent countless hours to put together to help others in the industry? It's free. Why don't you take a look at the massive package she put together to help people with reverse mortgage? It includes a list of every title company in CA (it's a minimal charge to cover costs). Heck, you could have gotten it for free a few weeks ago when she was giving it away for anyone who donated to a wonderful cause for someone else on this board (she raised $1200 to save someone's pet). Then you'll have some sliver of a clue as to what real positive energy is about.

P.S. - I like your profile, but to say you are "formally" trained by the National Notary Association makes me chuckle.

Off to my next signing. Positive energy all. Ohmmmmm. Ohmmmmm. Ohmmmmm.

I agree, too. Not only that, but our title company clients wouldn't be too happy about all of a sudden being bombarded by solicitations from SAs (or SSs) coming out of the woodwork! This has nothing to do with being nice or being fearful. It's just good, basic common(?) business sense.

Thanks for posting your thought, Brenda!

Just so everyone knows...I posted this note b/c of an "impression" of seeing a lot of recent g/b/u posts regarding title companies...due to recent email rec'd regarding this...I never intended for anyone person to think it was being directed at them!! It was kind of a heads up for new folks lucky enough to get those calls.
