Question for Az notaries
Did one last night for a property in Az. The Dot for a Heloc was legal size. In Ca that has to be letter sized. And I don't mean I printed it on legal, The doc was full size legal. At first I thought I somehow printed it wrong, but no it's supposed to be that way. So is that normal for your state? Then the loan after that (for cali property this time) had a letter sized Til. I usually see those on legal. But thats how they sent it, so I'm not worrying about it! Just curious...

Ca DOT do not have to be letter, they prefer it that way at the county recorders office. They just charge who ever is having it recored and extra 3.00 per page. If they are sent that way, that is what I give them.

I know the paper can be legal size, but doesn't the font set up have to be letter?

I've seen it both ways for first position DOTs as well as HELOCS. It looks to be entirely lender preference here, because either size will record. AZ is not particularly fussy about paper size, it seems, when it comes to DOTs.
