Self-centered people cannot network

There are two experienced agents in totally different areas in Texas who elicited this post.

One is trying to cut in on the Tx network business by quoting $85 for rev morts / driving 25-30 miles or more for that price. That means your basic $50-$60 signing for a rev mort. That one will drive to my coverage area and undercut me just for meanness. I won't undercut anyone and will maintain a good fee for me and for doing good work. I quote what I want to make and that's that. If I cannot profit on my business at what I feel I need, I will do something else.

The other is doing $50 so he can drastically undercut another agent in his area who is getting $125-$150 for the same thing. He's helping the signing service make $75-$100 off of him so he can be ugly to the other guy in his area. It's laughable. I had a long "ha ha" with the guy this low-low thinks he is "hurting."

Both would like spots on the list with our group.

No. Our group is a team. Our team feels that we must charge fees which show we respect our profession. You don't understand about teamwork, you are all about YOU and you are dishonest with your notary "colleagues."

You have no clue about scratching anyone else's back or what's necessary for the good of a network. That's why you are not with us now. And you are not impressing the LOs either. That's why I know what you charge.

Great to hear your network is sticking together, networking and growing. That is the model that notaries should be using to counter the lowball signing services. Unfortunatly there are the Donald Trump Apprentice wannabes who think that by being ruthless they will come out on top. They forget that "the Apprentice" is only a television show and that the only one making money from the program is the Donald. The people trying to undercut you and using less than ethical practices as a business model will shortly be looking for other work as their business dies an agonizing death. Notary on!

This bears repeating...the numbers are astounding...In another very recent post, I said:

**Food for thought - If I got $50 for every signing that goes through my network each month from the efforts of the network's marketing, I'd be making $7200-$9000 for spending 12 hours on the phone each month . That's in the slowest signing state in the union. Think about that, folks.**

Those blue eyelashes say it all, honey. Who wouldn't want to pay you $750 for a rev mort?
