Signing in little while have urgent question

I have a split closing. I have the second borrower.

Package has come in with the notarial certificate showing both signers on it. The notary in the other state notarized it with both the names on it. On some docs she didn't fill in the venue and it has both borrowers name on it.

Should I attach my certificate to all of them. Should I on the ones that she notarized cross out my borrowers name that wasn't there?

You CAN NOT change the 1st NPs certificate.

Attach a loose cert for the dox that you notarize indicating
that you are notarizing the sig of your signer ONLY
Attach a note to dox stating the situation.
!st NP must have received their training at Bozos R US

where not were(previos post) and speaking of Bozo...Bob

Is he only known to us Chi-towners? Whenever I call someone a Bozo, they look at me cross eyed.

I remember Bozo. I have a very long story about Bozo but it's a bit OT and really a little boring so I won't tell it here.
B.
ps can you believe that? OT and boring and I won't post it on NotRot? It must be a first. lol

Charm
My eldest daughter when she was around 5 or 6 years old went to see Bozo's show, and I saw her on the TV when they showed the show. She was thrilled that she had been on TV.

Trouble in River City...

...my opinion is the first Notary has placed the entire closing in jeapordy. She (you indicated it's a female involved) didn't do her job properly & now it's fallen into your lap. You shouldn't (I'd say CAN'T, but you can do anything you want...it's your signing) tinker with anything on the Notary certificates the other Notary signed. They belong to her & her alone. Yes, you can attach your own separate Notary certificates showing only the lone borrower's name who appeared before you. If I were you however, I'd first call whoever hired you & explain the situation. This whole process may be stopped in its tracks before it goes any further. JMHO.

Re: Trouble in River City...

Thanks all!

It's what I expected.

Closing is supposed to occur in 5 minutes. I just got the docs.

Have a great day.

Re: Trouble in River City...

I did a split signing earlier this year. First notary did her job correctly, she had lined through the names on her certificate of the two signers whose signatures she was not notarizing (there were three signers, two here in Palm Bay and the first one in PA)
I did the second part of the signing and attached a loose certificate for the two signers whose signatures I was notarizing.
Lo and behold, when there was a payment issue, I checked online with the recorders office. The mortgage only had the first notary's certificate on it, and the two names she had lined through had been typed back in.

When I have a split signing I also mark my notarization with an (A) on the signature I am notarizing (A) my notarization whether it be the first one signing or the second. that way at least I feel I am covered.
