So. Cal Signing Co. Hannalore Guerro, what does this mean?

I received a call from Sean at So Cal Signing Co this afternoon to do a signing two hours before the signing was to take place. Sean proceeded to tell me that they paid $85 for the signing and that they found me on Notary Rotary. I told him "I don't think so, thanks for the offer" and hung up my profile specifically gives my absolute minimum fee and with e-docs and an emergency request there was no way I was going to do it for $85. A short time later I get the following e-mail entitled "Fort Bragg's most beautiful and polite notary""

Thank you,

Hannalore Guerrero

I would like to know from Lisa Bittner or Hannalore Guerro if this is the way a professional reacts to a rejection of a completely unacceptable offer. I'd like to know if this was authorized by the principals of So. Cal Signing Co. I also would like to know what this e-mail means: is it a threat or just some stupid scheduler's idea of a joke. I really would like to know!

When business get slow it really gets interesting. I am so damn sick and tired of Signing Service thinking that they own notaries: slaves were emancipated in 1865.

Charles, I am not sure they meant that as a slam. However, I did not "hear" the tone of voice, et al, that you did. I am just inquiring...Is it possible they actually thought you were polite?

I do not believe so Brenda. I have always heard good things about this company form other here. This was received as an e-mail. It is hard to post the e-mail as shown. Additionally I was not inordinately polite nor do I believe that I was inordinately impolite. It's business, they TOLD me what they were going to pay and I said "no thanks". I suspect that the scheduler was PO'ed because my area is very hard to find a notary in. The only other NSA in town, doesn't accept e-docs.

At least she doesn't go around killing those who do...

unlike the reaL Luddites. This area is a "special" place!

Luddite.

Had to look it up. Thank you for the history lesson!

Now, back to Lisa/Hannalore...Charles, you are probably right. $85??? I missed that on the first round.

Rude. Heat must getting to them. I wholly endorse the large Fedex envelop which doubles as a white tyvek hat. Very useful in the heat of the day. Keeps the head a good bit cooler. Defends the pate from the harmful beams which would make one think an $85 eDoc signing is a good fee to offer, or to accept.

It means that you are beautiful and polite, good thing you didn't have your speedos on, we were just discussing dress code today! See what they do with our pics? Next thing ya know, you'll be cover of Playgirl...be careful, it's a cold cruel world Charles!

Hi Charm: I am polite and you are beautiful but I have a...

mirror and I know I am not beautiful, handsome...Nah, not that either. However I do have speedos and a couple of pool records which I am sure are long broken. The world is the world neither cold nor cruel and certainly not kind and benevolent. It just is the way it is. I have always subscribed to Teddy Roosevelts philosophy: "Do not hit at all if it can be avoided, but never hit softly" Have a great evening. TTFN
