Stingray

I have trouble with my self-inking type stamp. After the first refill, the quality is not half as good as it used to be. I have used the recommended MaxLight refill ink. But on most papers, the ink passes through to the other side. You can clearly read the stamp from the other side of the paper. Even a quick gentle press does it. It sure wasn't so before the refill. On some papers the impression appears smeared. I'm almost certain it's the ink I used for refill.
So, I am looking to buy another one more reliable. I'm considering buying a stingray stamp. what are your experiences with it? NotRot has a Stingray that boasts 1000's of crisp impressions. Well, my commission will expire before a thousand impressions. So I won't ever have to refill it. At 12 bucks a piece, it's a bargain, if it is as good as it sounds. What do you think?

Re: Stingray Stamp

I bought the Stingray stamp from NotRot a couple of months ago so I would have a back-up stamp. The actual impression size of mine is 1/2" X 2". The impression is smaller than the size of the one I got from NNA, and I like that because sometimes there is not much room to place your stamp! So now I use the Stingray as my primary stamp and my NNA stamp as my back-up!

The inked impression shows through to the back side of the doc, but it never actually bleeds through onto the next paper underneath. When I ordered mine, it took only a few days to arrive! I have not had the opportunity to refill it yet.
