The Terrible and Confusing Saga of the ASAP Companies

I just wanted to mention again that Notary ASAP uses the name NOTARY ASAP and does not go by any other name. We do not go by ASAP, ASAP The Signing Company, ASAP Certified Notaries, Notary ASAP On The Go To You, etc... We go by Notary ASAP or Notary ASAP Inc. and that’s it. So, if someone mistakenly refers to our company as just ASAP, they could confuse us with a slew of companies that provide services from notary and insurance to towing and bail bonds. We do, however, have the blessing of the federal government to exclusively use the name "Notary ASAP" to conduct business within the confines of the United States and use that protected mark to distinguish our company from the onslaught of "copy cat" notary companies and scrupulous signing services. There are individuals who intentionally use our mark (and variations of such) to draw in business so be forewarned that you are on your own when conducting business with these shady companies. I'm not trying to sound arrogant, but if someone is talking negatively about our company, they have mistakenly confused us with another company.

Notary ASAP does not hide from their service vendors or clients and are "straight up" in their business dealings. We can always be reached at:

Because people violate our trademark? I'm going to say no.

We have been using the name since 1998 and get all our work from customers who know the name from the time when there was no confusion and signing agents/companies where far and few between. I could file a lawsuit against some of the individuals for violating our trade mark, but at this point, they are small potatoes. Eventually we will pull the trigger.

I agree with you - no need to change just because everyone else is trying to ride on your bandwagon.

I had a fabulous experience with Notary ASAP. Had a no sign, emailed my bill and within THREE DAYS, I had my check.

Now that is a classy SS. Sadly, I haven't found one the equivalent of Notary ASAP (except for Lori in San Diego)...therefore, I stick to the signings I'm (finally) getting via my own title company, and not accepting most SS work, unless I know them.

THREE DAYS...THREE freaking DAYS....Sniff...sniff...Will it work if I hold the OR signing tomorrow (today) hostage until you promise that I'll get my checks in THREE DAYS? (j/k).

Seriously, Notary ASAP is one of the very few SS left in my book, most others have became bread crumbs without butter. You gals' been great, keep it up.

One of the Best!!! This is what I do...

When I get a phone call with ASAP in the name, I ask which town are they located. I work with three companies with ASAP in it, and it does help to know which one you are speaking with. I know which town each one is in and I am immediately clear to whom I am dealing with.
And Velvet and the crew are great to work with always, in my book!!!!!!!

For those wondering

why this post hasn't received any negative responses as others have, it is because it was posted in the most professional manner I've seen in quite some time. The respondents giving their "thumbs up" are known posters, not posers. THIS is the way to provide answers to postings that contain miscommunication (mistaken company identification) and (unjustified) negative information.

From just this post of clarification, I would be very happy to do work for this company. They are a great role model for this forum.

They are also a great role model for other signing services. I got my start years ago as a clueless newbie with Notary ASAP. I didn't tell them that (and didn't lie, either, I might add), but I think they figured it out soon enough! They were patient with me [for the most part... ;>] and taught me a great deal about this business. So a belated "thank you" to Notary ASAP, a class act!
