United Notaries - Non payment
I have a overdue invoice from 6/3/06. Now 55 days overdue!
I have tried many times to contact their accountant.... always on the phone and NEVER returns a call. They never respond to E-mail.
Tomorrow I am sending one more letter, this one is a Litigation Letter.
Just glad I only completed one assignment for them...

While you are at it, maybe you should file a complaint with the BBB. It looks like this company has had many complaints.

Thanks Rick...
I did that about 3 weeks ago and as of today, no response from the BBB or UN.

They're notorious for this
I've done a few for them and they push the 60 day mark, once I get upset and send my collection letter, they pay. Those days are over, they don't improve so I'm thinking this is their policy.

Re: They're notorious for this
I wish I would have checked them out prior to accepting the assignment....
I want to make sure there is plenty of current information here for the next newbe they try to hire.

Re: They're notorious for this
While doing a search I happened up on a great letter, message #110280. It was posted by droman IL with credit going to MistyFL. I plan on mailing this letter out tomorrow. I think you already have one, but for people who don't it seems like a great letter. They owe me as well, from May and June. I now know to search this board prior to accepting work from companies I don't know. Good Luck Raimond! I hope you have success!

Re: They're notorious for this
Just a quick question about the letter.......
Part B of the letter says:
b. Notify the (AGAIN, YOUR OWN STATE) Secretary of State to look into the matter of whether the Lender should maintain their license to do business in the state. Supply the same details to the Secretary of State.
The first line says.....notify the Secretary of State. The last line says....supply the same details to the Secretary of State.
This is a great letter and I would like to keep it on file just in case. But I am wondering if this part of the letter is worded correctly. Thanks, Joy

Re: They're notorious for this
I can't speak for the author, but the way I'm reading it, I think it's just saying when you write to the SOS, supply the details, I don't think that is meant to be in the collection letter. I could be wrong though.

Re: They're notorious for this
Yes it does say supply the SOS the details. But it also says that same thing a second time. It just reads funny and that is why I was questioning if it was worded correctly or not. Thanks, Joy

Re: They're notorious for this-Yep notorious all right
and if you complain, you will get paid in the end but it of course is all your fault and they will remove you from their list but at that point who cares, good luck in collecting Ray...They are stinkers....

If you have not resolved this issue yet. I know the NNA has teamed up with a collection agent to help Loan signer the collect on unpaid signings from Title and closing companies. I haven't used this service yet but it's worth a try. They only charge a small fee to help you collect payment.... Good Luck

I've finally gotten paid for way overdue invoices. In the future, they will be on a C.O.D. basis.
Probably won't happen but hopefully they will be out of business soon.
