What's a practicing notary?
I saw a profile and the person states that he is a practicing notary. I've heard of a practicing attorney and I know that doctors "practice" medicine. But do we practice notarizing???? Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Some people need all the practice they can get, maybe then they can get it right. lol!

MaggieMae, Re: What's a practicing notary?
MaggieMae,
Some people have notary commissions but are not actively doing notarizations. Those who are active are "practicing".
Actually, whatever notary used this term is just trying to set themselves apart from the rest.

Re: MaggieMae, Re: What's a practicing notary?
I interpreted it the same way, Pamela, but couldn't have put it any better. BTW, wouldn't we all like to set ourselves apart from those who got a notary commission "just in case" or for convenience vs. those of us who actively do notary work?

Absolutely. My company is a full-service notary practice.

I'd rather hear that my notary is practicing than my surgeon
or my lawyer for that matter.
