digital phone service
My husband switched from a realiable land line to Comcast digital for our telephone provider at the beginning of July.
Let me tell you, I have lost business as the service is down more than it is up, including now as I type this. They double billed, disabled my ability to fax out and receive faxes. Took forever to get out to fix the problems.
Tomorrow I go back to a land line and I cannot wait!!!!!! Additionally, many of my customers that have the cable phone also went back to land lines. I don't know how it works in other parts of the country, but it seems a lot of people have had problems in my neck of the woods, even those that use WOW.

My brother had Comcast for phone, cable, and internet service in NH. He ended up canceling the service after about six months.
It was down more than it was up. We would be on the phone and it would sound like a really bad cell connection, or it would disconnect without warning.
After listening to his phone and others who had VIOP, I decided to keep my land-line until they fix all the glitches. I use a cell as my primary business phone, but I use my home phone when I am there to make business calls and for outgoing faxing. There is no way I would want to be speaking with a TC or borrower and have the phone keep cutting out.

I have Comcast digital service at my apartment in Shirley. I have the package where my internet, cable and phone are all tied into one (not sure if that is standard). I'm thinking about canceling my service because it is down more than anything!!!

This type of service is voice over IP address, if the internet drops off so will your phone service, Can't trust business to this kind of service
Just me little bit, not worth much

Sounds Like a ComCast Issue
I have had Sunrocket VOIP phone service and am very happy with it but then again I have a great cable internet service provider and that makes all the difference.

Phone Service
I just changed over to Cablevision phone service. I had the cable and Internet through them and my Internet has been fast and reliable. I just added the phone service and so far no problems. I hope it stays that way. If not I will return to Verizon for double the price.
