question ??

During a signing when one spouse has signed docs already (in a different state), should I use same color of pen (black) that the other nsa used - to keep it all the same. Or should I use blue (the color that the ss says to "use on all docs unless otherwise specified"Wink??? I used black to keep it the same. What do you think?

I have a split signed package here with same problem as you're. I have signed many for this lender and have always used blue. The first notary used black. I'm going to use blue.

I would use whatever color specified in the instructions. Just because the other notary did not is no reason for you to ignore their instructions. It's the old "two wrongs don't make a right."
I also would not stress over it as I doubt you will have any problems.

Blue/Black. A few very few instructions specify color of ink most do not.
I was once told, unless otherwise specified use Black as it comes out better when copies are made.

Answer.

Your instructions were to use blue. Why even ask? Of course you should use blue!

If the deed is done (yes, pun intended), then don't stress out. Just follow instructions next time.
