quick question about second signer.

I have a package that was sent to me for an out of state refi. The borrower has already signed the deed, mortgage, NORTC..

The Deed and Mortgage was notarized in the borrowers state of Ohio. The daughter is in Utah, signing with me tonight.

Do I affix my seal underneath the original ack.? Should I affix a sticky acknowledgment?
I don't think I would have (being the original notary in Ohio) signed the acknowledgment when the second signer wasn't present...

Opinions?

Attach your own cert. You cannot piggy-back on an already incorrect cert. You cannot worry about that part, just do the certficate(s) correctly for your signer.

Find out from hiring entity if you need to have any other docs signed in the package besides mortgage.

Yeah. the OH notary should have acknowledged ONLY the first signer that appeared before him, and lined thru the second one on the original ack. The you attach your OWN ack for the signer that you do.
