waiting for docs

That were "ready to go" when I accepted the signing at 3:30 this afternoon. Good thing I don't have a life, or anything else better to do...(venting)

On another note, I got a call today about a signing I did on Saturday. The lender needs (get this one) the witness's signature notarized. Have you ever heard??? Well, turns out that lender thinks witness was borrower's spouse (the witnesses were myself & her son) & since CT is a homestead state (huh?? is that a new one here?)...anyway, went back out & Id'd witness so I could complete an acknowledgement to the mortgage deed. Whatever!

I did start to argue this with them, but why waste the breath? If it's what the lender wants in order to fund...

Can this week get any better???

Signing companies do this to me all the time! They will call me and then I get the docs at the very last minute. Whats up with this??? Do they think we have nothing better to do then to check our email waiting to get the docs???
Just wanted to say..............."I understand."

Yay!! Docs finally arrive...

But, haven't received confirmation from borrower yet. I hope I'm not expected to drive out for nothing...

I'll be glad when this week is done. Not complaining, becasue Aug has been great so far, but do all the whacky signings have to be done by me???? LOL

Have a great night, all!!

But wait! It gets better

Finally get a call back from borrower. He's at work. There's no way this can be signed...how about tomorrow night? So I call my company back to tell them & see if docs are date sensitive.

The kicker is that the LO had called me shortly before 6 to say that he's spoken with borrower & that they are heading home from work & know that the signing will be tonight. Bwr says he specifically told LO that it must happen before 3pm or not happening. Docs didnt' arrive to title until after 5...

Don't like the smell of this one...

It is just as bad in Arizona. I thought I was the only one with the BLACK CLOUD of waiting for e-docs.

I feel your paid girl!!

Hang in there! No wonder some of my notary friends charge $45 for e-docs...for all the headaches!!

Ok, I give up

Moral is, it could always be worse...and I'm sure it will be my fault somehow, too! LOL

$50 for edocs

I have a settlement statement in front of me from a major title company (if you play chess you'd recognize the logo)... $50 charge for edocs on top of $70 for notarization.

And we'll be signing with the escrow officer, not an outside notary.
